  2. What about adding a few disasters to the game? It would be cool too have some optional earthquakes, tsunamis or tornados. I know a lot wouldn't like their troops being killed, but you should be able to have it as an option! But i think that it would be nice to have fire. There are some fire-archer i think but the houses don't burn! Then you could take water from the river or from a well you built to put out the fire. Does anybody know Stronghold? there you had warehouse and if it burned down you lost a big part of your resources. That's why you had to build a well and then everything was well ! Oh, and rain and floods would be very realistic! Not that it would do any damage, but it looks nice! And diseases! Could build a hospital...
  3. I like the idea of roads, but might that not complicate the game? Look where army is going, if it is following the road/ be careful to take the road/ and so on... Especially that then not much civ had real roads, only maybe muddy paths. It could be a roman bonus; they have faster roads. And I think there should only be 1-2 built-in roads, so that you don't have a big road-net that destroys the map. I like the idea of mythos_ruler. Now if you send an army its a big column that goes zig-zaging through the map like a pice of wood. Maybe roads could change the anatomy of these columns; when you use a road the column becomes more snake-like with the soldier following exactly the road! But how do you say when to take back old formation? when your already surrounded by enemies ?
  4. About Alpha 14: It would be nice to have a new AI, that is specialized in having no CivCentre and that has some kind of timer when to attack enemy base! There are a few maps with invasion forces, but they don't attack. At least not with normal difficulty! You could then also use this AI to make campaigns, where there is a siege of a town or where you have to prepare yourself for 20min and then the attack comes! I think it would be very nice Oh!, and AI don't build walls?
  5. I think this would be a bit too much, because after a while when your taking over a city or harvesting a resource you have this thing plopping up and i find it quite annoying. Normally you have your eye on this bar and you see the numbers jumping, that might already be enough!

  7. I just started to try the scenario editor and I realized, that a few buildings where much to small. The theatre for example, is about as high as a unit. But in real this greek theaters had place for a lot of people. I know that the theatre would then barely fit in the building zone but then make the zone a bit bigger and the theatre a bit smaller than it should be. Did you thought about adding some animation for the destruction of buildings? So that it just stand there until it has 0 health and then ''bing'', not there any more, only rubble! If a catapult shoot it could take of a bit of the to, and then a other stone gets stuck in the wall, and so on until after the 10th shot the building collapses. Not that it disappears, but that i collapses and the stones are still there for a while(or that the units even have to move them to clear the place), like in real life. i know that this must be very complicated and i would surely help you, to create an even better game than it already is, if I had the skills knowledge and time todo so! By the way i have a mac and if i select something and press the delete button as it is written in the wiki it doesn't work
  8. it's true that making a map is very difficult ( i tried but it crashed down) but you could make them at least a bit nicer: The GoldRush map, with a lot of metal on a little hill; i could think of a metal spot at the bottom of a cliff or anything, but not nicely ON the hill. or the acropolis with the civcenters on hill and you can only come up from the front and the back, that's for a fortress, but not if you are supposed to build a town. But well, i'm sure you make it best to make it good. Actually there are some very good maps too!
  9. Have you ever seen a place like on the Random map ''Rivers'' ,or ''Canyon''? It's this symmetry that is unrealistic.
  10. I just started playing 0 AD on alpha 10 - very nice game , alpha 11 is very good too, but there a lot more unnatural maps, i mean that they don't have natural enviroment like you would seen in nature. But in all a very good game!!!
  11. I hope campaign comes out soon, you could also make a economic campaign, wher you still get attacked but you have to gather a amount of goods... and also matches where you only get an army and attack, or where you defend a town...
