Why can't i play my custom map with my friend

I have created a custom scenario map and put it in my  0ad/mods/user/maps  folder and so have my friend. But when he joins the lobby he receives a error message saying he cant locate it. i can play it singleplayer just fine but not multiplayer. Any help?

Any chance you could ask your friend to provide the exact error message? That would hopefully give a clue as to what is wrong

Error cannot find "name of map.xml

Pity, I had hoped there would have been a partial file path that could give us some more clue =) Because I would guess that the most likely cause of the issue is that there is something which isn't 100% correct with the folders, maybe just one letter wrong in a folder name or something

I will double check that, whats also strange is that he made a map we tried to play it while in the same folder, doesn't work. So we downloaded a community map and placed it in folder and it worked.

Not sure this would help, but could you make sure that the path is .../maps/scenario/ on both computers. Yours is probabaly correct it seems.
