How to "auto garrison" units?

When your CC is at an alarm state new units will auto garrison but how can you do this outside of using an alarm or on another structure (barracks, etc)?

Right now it's a manual process after the units are produced to go back and place them inside.  Am I missing something?

You can use Ctrl and right-click on the producing building to set the rally point on the building itself, that way the units will garrison as soon as they are created

There's a useful trick if you want to garrison units in many structures:  Select the units, then while holding down shift, ctrl-click on the nearest structure, then ctrl-click on the next structure, etc.  The units will garrison in the first structure until it is full, then move on to the next structure, and so on.  It's a good way to put a large army in temples, for example.
