The current Fedora (code=0.0.13-2.fc19 ; data=0.0.13-1.fc19) release is woefully out of date and borks before playing any game. AFAICT, this bug was fixed months ago but has not been rolled out to the standard repositories.

ERm .... I'm reporting that data=0.0.13-1.fc19 appears to be the latest release & is therefore out-of-date.

If you do a uninstall & then install of latest 0AD, the data=13-1 is selected automatically

Can you see where it is installed? The ubuntu package has these files: http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/all/0ad-data/filelist but I don't know where I can find it for Fedora without downloading. Maybe it's the same path.

Now the /usr/share/games/0ad/mods/ directory (if the paths are the same as in Ubuntu) should ONLY contain a public directory, and that directory should ONLY contain the single file public.zip. If you see any other files or directories in there, delete them.

rm /usr/share/0ad/mods/public/simulation/components/interfaces/TechnologyTemplateManager.js

allows me to actually start a game .... a few in-game .js errors being shown but at least it starts

.... followed your advice about the public/public.zip file & cleaned out all the stuff there. Now works fine.

<PROBLEM SOLVED>
