some things i noticed that should be corrected

well i have been watching your progress with the game for a long time and i want to say that you are doing a great job, but as far as i have noticed there are some things that you could fix for example on the map hyrcanian shores set for two players i found 1 fish in the sea and all the others were on the grass the rocks and etc, also you should make the coast line with gulfs, capes and not just a straight line, also the texture when it changes from grass to sand sometimes has square edges, another one is that when i build for example a temple on a leaning land it ends up with the one end buried and the other floating. furthermore the pigs need walking animation because they are hovering above the land and another thing concerning the greek factions, the civ center is called agora and it's wrong because agora means market and where people gather, according to ancient greek history agora served as a marketplace where merchants kept stalls or shops to sell their goods and it also was the center of athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life of the city, later during the roman years agora was called forum, also the name of the market emporion is also wrong because emporion means trading in english, and to pre-empt questions about how do i know what it means and etc i know because i am from greece, sorry for the long post and if i did any mistakes in english, i hope to finish the game and make it the best strategy ever :victory:

Hmm, "Agora" is the center of a Greek city, as you noted, so it makes sense to name the Civic Centre structure "Agora" for the Greeks. I'm also very sure that Emporeion means "Marketplace" or "Trading place" in Ancient Greek. Others on this forum can confirm or argue. Perhaps you can comment on this thread: http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14581 We're still arguing about the proper terms for things over there. lol

Ditto pig animations, we keep adding more and more animations over time, but still not everything is animated, and it can be difficult to find contributors in 3D animation.

well i see your point and it is quite correct, even nowadays the center of the villages and towns are caleed agora, because there are the markets and also churches and other shops also the people gather at the coffee bars to drink coffee and talk, it just seemed strange for me because it is like you had two different buildings with the same name

yes i know it is difficult, another thing i noticed is that the cavalry when it moves it seems it's running but their animation is like that of a robot

another thing concerning the units you built in a fortess the name lithobolos is not the ancient greek name but more like the modern greek, the original name is palintonon here is a source i found from a fellow greek http://www.mlahanas....tapultTypes.htm it describes the types the ancient greeks used, i have found others sources from webpages and books i have but they are in greek unfortunately. one more thing about the fortress, i searched books and the net to find an ancient fortress but it seems we didn't have any during the classical age the fortress was the acropolis (the one in athens was serving as a fortress before it became a sacred place for the ancients) which isn't only the one with the parthenon there are others too less known. in more ancient times during the mycenae for example the city was the citadel where the palace existed. and one last thing if you want i could scan a photo of how an agora used to be and what it is pictured because it is in greek

Your linked page has "lithobolos" listed as a stone thrower too, and Archimedes seems to have called his stone throwers "Lithoboloi." It looks like "palintonon" refers to the type of spring system used ("V-spring"). Also, as far as classical Greek fortresses go, the Athenians had one at Delium and one at Gyphtokastro (off the top of my head).
