{SOLVED} Game becomes slow and choppy after about 10-15 minutes...

Hi...

Can anyone give me an idea why some maps tend to cause the game to become very slow and choppy, almost to where I cannot even move the mouse, after about 10-15 minutes into it? I run Ubuntu 10.04, my lspci readout, if it helps...
