I just tried the game and I instantly fell in love with it, it reminds me of Age of empires though it has better graphics. However after 10min of gameplay game started to lag (fps went from 15 to 2) and some log with yellow errors appeared in top left corner. I tried to save game, restart it and load again but game still continue to lag. If I pressed Pause, fps returned to normal. I didn't know what was causing the problem (something with javascript and something in line 3, that's all what I remember) so I restarted the computer and everything was fine. I started new game, defeated the opponent and everything was fine. This was on Dell E5500. At home I tried on my PC, with 7 opponents and same map (islands) and fps dropped again after few minutes of gameplay. I didn't find any connection between training specific unit and problem, it just appears after few minutes. Firstly it is almost invisible, only in form of small lag spikes, but it's getting worse with every minute of additional gameplay. Is this known bug or is it just me?

Added later on: I just saw that Alpha 9 came out. This problem was observed on Alpha 8, I will try with 9 tomorrow.

EDIT2: I tried to recreate the problem in Alpha 8 and I couldn't get yellow warning but only red errors. Here's screenshot

AIs don't yet work on Island maps, so that's a part of the explanation. I think it is for the errors, but I know it is for the lag =) The error might be fixed in Alpha 9 (though the AIs still don't support Island maps), but either way, for now it's really not recommended to play against more than one AI or to play multiplayer games.

That error is fixed in Alpha 9. Playing with 7 bots will probably take down any PC at this stage. Hopefully you will find Alpha 9 is a bit better in terms of lag, if you get lots of lag it would be awesome if you could hit shift-F11 and upload the resulting log file (location is shown at the top of the screen). Then we can see what is causing the problem and be able to concentrate on that more.
