Persia -- Pontus / Parthia (Or Armenia) Split?

It would deffinately fit. Seeing as mithridates gave rome a darn load of hell, and not just pontos, but Parthia gave crassus a good arrow through his armor too, hah.

I would definately choose (if you implement the faction splitting whateverthethingimagighyiswhatever like greeks to macedonians etc.) Pontus and Parthia as two. Seeing as they are both practical oposites.

Pontus: would be the split that implements Phalanxes Combined with light cav, such as horse archers.

Parthia, would of course, why not, get the cataphacts and horse archers mix.

And darn this laptop is hard to type on.

Now that i think about it. thats a good idea, reballances persia for those who want to focus on infantry or cavalry, over archers. imma give Carthage some thought now.

Yeah i figured that much, but we should start out choosing that if factions do have civ splits like greece/macedonia or as mythos ruler suggested having them as seperate factions, i personally would play as pontus :3

Maybe someone could make a mod for it nonetheless adding ALL the diadochi? Epeiros ftw, my favorite on RTW EB. :3

Actually, it would make more sense with parthia, seeing as its technically (or can be seen as) a successor state of the old persian empire when alex took it over. And it tought Marcus Licinius Crassus how to eat arrow.

About that. Wouldn't it make more sense to have Sassanids rather than Parthians? Or maybe a mixture of both?

No? :) To be honest the Parthians and Sassanids wouldn't be much different. It'll be difficult to differentiate the Parthians from the Part I Persians already. :) The Parthians lasted until AD 224 and would make the perfect foe for the Imperial Romans in Part II. :)
