ROman coins have been found there.Read my post as "no military or political dealings". Individual traders naturally come around a lot more than large armies. AuroN2 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 You know, wouldnt be surprised if individual roman merchants visited indonesia--or even australia, those little aborigines would have been impressed by their sharp and shiny sticks (gladius aka) but refused to trade with them, who knows, they could have made it to the americas even, and left no real mark apart from influencing pottery and weaponry for the locals. And I'm going to do some research on them to gather enough material for a viable civ. And/or the Axumites for hypothetical part 2 of 0 AD's saga.
