GL_ARB_Multitexture Extension

I downloaded the game from SVN and I received this error:

"The GL_ARB_multitexture extension doesn't appear to be available on your computer. The game may still work, though - you are welcome to try at your own risk. If not or it doesn't look right, upgrade your graphics card."

I'm running Windows 7 and my hardware seems enough to run this game, any ideas on what this means?

It's hard to tell exactly what's wrong unless you tell us a bit more about your computer, more specifically your video card and if you have the latest drivers for it.

Also it'd be useful to post the system_info.txt file, which is probably in a location like c:\users\whatever\appdata\roaming\0ad\logs\

I got exactly the same error (Windows7 in Vista SP 2-comptability mode). My configuration:

That's using Windows' ancient non-hardware-accelerated OpenGL implementation. Do you have the latest NVIDIA graphics drivers installed? What happens if you don't run in compatibility mode?
