  1. Thanks for posting this in the right forum :)

Most, if not all, hardware routers are also hardware firewalls. You'll have to find something in the router's configuration that allows "Port Forwarding" or "Port Redirect".

In the Port Forwarding config of your router, you'll have to forward the ports that DMW uses to your computer's internal (network) IP.

I found this in the readme:

    6500 TCP

    13139 UDP

    27900 UDP

    28900 TCP

    29900 TCP

    29901 TCP

    33321 UDP

    33335 TCP

Those should be the ports you need to forward.

  2. Good thinking Quacker :)

BTW, you can view the FPS in E:DMW by pressing the F11 key a few times to cycle through the various time displays (top-right screen corner). A few of the settings display FPS. One displays "PPS".. :) the only thing I can think of is "Particles Per Second". (not that it matters ;))

  3. I believe the term you are looking for is "Command Lag", Swellick. Empire Earth had some problems with this.

Cougar's right, screen res (and possibly game detail) will contribute to this problem.

  4. I disagree with that article.. the 2000 election was fair and square. It's not the candidate's fault if people don't bother to vote.

I do agree that it's possible for those newfangled machines to be hacked, but I don't believe the government is purposefully putting them there to control elections.
