  1. I think it makes perfect sense in AOK type games. Rise of Nations was far from crippled...it was very revolutionary and did many things that AOK didn't do, and that AOE III should have done. In any case, I won't be too let down if they don't add it in.
  2. Ditto! It's a horrible idea to remove stack training!!!
  3. I've never seen, in any military, a single person (without a group with them) go out on their own to fight. The army is made up of many units, which in turn are made up of multiple soldiers. That's the "invisible rope" if you want to call it that.
  4. I wouldn't expect it any other way!
  5. You've got a pretty good point there...that being said, I would love to see a good game with a mix of FPS/RTS. It's good to hear though, that you guys are open to adding RPG/City-building features!
  6. I was wondering, how are you guys handling the unit management? Are you going for the AOE/AOK style 1 soldier/unit or the RON style several soldiers in one unit? I personally prefer the latter...much more realistic in my opinion.
  7. I've been a long-time lurker and I truly respect what you guys are doing here! It looks awesome so far! Just wanted to see if there's any chance of integrating some FPS gameplay into 0 AD. So far, the only game I've seen like that (aside from Battlezone) is Rise and Fall Civilizations at War. But that was mediocre... In any case, I can't wait to see more about this game (crossing fingers for a demo at some point)!!!
