I like both the books and the movies, i just combine those to two thinks:
If i think about the story, i think about the books, but when i think how a character/city looks i think about the movie (like when i think about Aragorn I see Viggo Mortensen in front of me)

After defeating Sauron in the last Deathmatch, Gothmog is the last defence between Morgoth and an angry Fingolfin who wants a rematch with Morgoth

I finaly got my own copy of the Silmarilion today
It was €19,- on a internet shop
My current LOTR collection (all dutch translated):

I know Turgon had Glamdring first, and it was lost in the ruins of Gondolin, but don't know who forged it

Total war is both RTS and TBS
I don't know what my favorite genre is, i like so many diffrent games

AOW 2 is cool, it's a TBS game in LOTR style
i realy like:
Medieval: Total war, Morrowind, IL2 and Infiltration 2.9

I think my favorite would be.... Forces of Darkness. I mean, attacking with a bunch of poor orcs and slaying elite Elven troops, raid their beautiful cities with a horde of warg riders, and then literally destroy everything around you for your economy... That's beautiful
The Dark Lord would be proud of you.
And when a Nazgul comes around, any enemy units with poor morale decides to run away. Kinda like my deserting unit idea (apperently in M:TW) in the suggestion forum applied to TLA.BTW: Will low morale units run away from a battle in TLA if being slaughtered? That seemed to be common occurence in the wars of Middle-Earth, especially with the Orcs.
mass routing another army is so cool, seeing them run while being slaughtert by my cavalery
