Various seasons of 24, both old and new. It's beginning to confuse me.
I've also been rewatching the Matrix films.

I tend to think its a hoax personally.
That is unless Titor came here and secretly stopped the chain of events that would lead to the things he predicted.

On Sundays, I do heavy weight lifting. MWF, I do total-body conditioning, involving acrobatics, karate, cardio workouts, and jogging. Tuesday and Thursday I usually rest, though will occassionally partake of some crunches and other light abdominal workouts.
Of course, the same schedule gets really boring after a while, so I do mix it up a bit when the urge strikes me.

I only recently registered for a myspace account. There's nothing there, but I can tell people that I have one now.
-
thank you.
-
hey, thanks. i'll have to get the silmarillion soon. gotta keep up around here.
-
aye, thanks. i have read some of the silmarillion, and now i wish to read it all. hopefully, someday, i'll be as knowledgable in this field as you and many of the others are. thanks.

i have read lotr quite a few times, and i keep running across the single mention of Angaband in rotk. i have realized that i know nothing about Angaband. could the knowledgable forumers here tell me what they know about it, or at least tell me were i can find info about it? i have scanned the appedices many times without any luck in finding it.

seems to be unanimous. yeah, if you're going to include them, they should be used to breach walls.
-
sweet. thanks for the info. looks like you guys got it covered. the way Adam explained it in theory sounded like a cool method of handling the nazgul.
*copies information to hard drive*
-
back aways there were some 3d renders of a nazgul with its sword and one of it riding on a horse. i remember them quite well. they weren't 'screenshots' persay, as in taken from the game, but they were under 'game art' quite a while back.
-
you've probably answered this a lot, but, what's the deal with nazgul? will they be included? i saw a screenshot of one in early production, but it's not up currently. how will they be handled? will there be a limit to how many? will there be a witch-king? riding versions? walking versions? or will they not be included at all?
-
Mithrandil, lol, naw, i'm with you. i don't really care. just trying to bring some clarity to topic for my own benifit.
-
ZeZar, well, when i get it done. really, now that we have all of the graphics. it shouldn't take long. i'm thinking mid february. i know i rarely meet a deadline, but that's the time of year i would circle on my calendar right now.
akya, k, that's cool. i'll probably be rotating mine quite a bit anyway.

so would you say that the grunts aren't immortal, but do get replaced overtime in such a way that you wouldn't notice? and the number in your army wouldn't deplete of old age as new, younger ones come in? so when you build a soldier, you aren't building an individual, but a slot in the ranks? sounds good to me.
-
die of old age? hmmmmmm. well, there are two arguments occuring in my mind:
say i build an army, let it hang for a few years, then am ready to send it out, only to find half of them dead. that would annoying.
but from an arda point of view, by making all units immortal, does that not erase one of the aspects that make elves unique?
but maybe there's a compromise: make the age limt long enough so that it's not annoying. i mean, aragorn lasted quite a few years. he was in his 80s in the LotR era. know what i mean?
-
yeah. my stance on the movies is that they're great cinema and probably the greatest movies ever.
but at the same time, i acknowledge that if you really want to see what middle-earth is truly about, and want to find out what really happened in some cases, the books are the only cannon. i know this sounds obvious, but hey, it's true nonetheless.
so all and all, i wasn't dissapointed with the movies too much, except when PJ took saruman out of RotK entirely, not to mention the scouring of the shire.
then, in TTT, i was expecting that shelob would be at the end, which she wasn't, which meant i had to wait a year.
i wasn't expecting EaHD, but it was a nice suprise if you ask me.
the arwen/aragorn thing seemed weird to me, for reasons i can't seem to form into words.
then there was all of the things you all have mentioned as well, but really, i try not to let it spoil the movies. i take comfort in knowing that PJ won't be re-writing the books

akya, no need to change it on my account. i just looked for the coolest one, which was hard due to the fact that they all look amazing.
wow, thanks for the warm welcome guys! now to live up to it...

DarkAngelBGE , whew, that's nice to know. there are some great people there, but there are also some that i would avoid like the plague. i like the people here so far and look forward to my attempt to become an active member of this community. first, i'll need to do my homework so i come off as truly uninformed about the current progress as i actually am.
-
thanks, i can use all the luck i can get.
wow, i'm reading the info on this place. these forums are way cooler than at aokh. reputation, currency, and a lot of stuff that still makes my head spin, but i'll wade through the rest of it. i know that this is going to be the greatest tolkien fan project of all time when finished.
-
thanks for the welcome guys.
well, it ain't tla, but you can download it here:
http://www.thewhisper.net/spirelabs/metc.asp
but i'm doing some serious rework on it now. so you can either download that whole entire thing, or wait for the retooled version without glitches, which is coming along far faster than it did the first time around. now that we have the graphics, chaning some things around isn't too hard.
you if want a real good aok middle-earth mod, the brother of a certain project head is doing great work.
-
hey, my name is Shadowflare, well, that's not my real name, but it's my screen name, and anyway, i just signed up for these forums a couple days ago.
excuse my lowercase typing. i'm from the aokh modpack forums, and it isn't stressed there.
i'm kind of a Tolkien nut, though i don't know nearly as much as certain people here do, and i think TLA will go far.
What are you listening to right now?
