I think the thing with added mechanics like ammo, supply wagons, towers that need to be garrisoned to function, is that for the dev's to add things like that, they would need to also know if they want the game to go in that direction or even if majority of the player base would like the game to have increased micro management and complexity, while some of these features might be great for one that likes a more realistic game (like myself and some others), it might put off others that prefer a game similiar to tradional rts games. It's hard to balance the two when it comes to adding game changing features, some in the community prefer the game to be like age of empires, while others want it to have more city simulation aspects, still others want it to have more total war features and so on.

The battalions are still wip btw, this is not the final release, it will be tweaked over time. This is the first iteration of it. Exodarion is still improving and tweaking it. It largely depends if they are emulating BFME or Total war style battalions too. Nonetheless what has been accomplished so far is really nice imo. @wowgetoffyourcellphone

I'm not sure how it will look in the public release, so it might be subject to change I think, can't really say though, I'm pretty sure one of the hc devs would know though.

Can't you just install Alpha 23 alongside the svn version, just like everyone else that is using the svn version?

I think he would only do that when Alpha 24 is released, since the majority of his fans don't use svn and only use the current alpha. Anyway one can just install Alpha 23b and play it, if I understand correctly, you can have both the svn version and alpha 23b installed at the same time.

It works fine for me, did you install part 1 and 2 (the HC zip has 2 parts when unzipped)? Are you using Alpha 23b?

When you download Hyrule Conquest, it comes as a Zip file, first unzip it, in the folder there should be a part 1 and part 2 exe. Run part one first , then run part 2. Part 2 has all the animations in it.

Actually I play 0 ad on a mac air without an external mouse and it works fine for me.

Very interesting! I personally think that several strategy games have actually promoted civilizations and cultures that the player otherwise wouldn't of known or bothered about. For example one might of become familiar with the Aztecs with Age of Empires 2 and thus gained an appreciation and respect for the culture and nation. In the same way, while games like Age of Empires 3 focused on colonisation, I believe it also brought more attention to all the cultures presented, both native and foreign. 0 ad is also promoting and teaching about civilizations that people would not of know about. So on the contrary I don't personally think it is making one culture look superior than another.
