Thanks for the quick reply. An obvious way to make it visible would be to have the ability to capture treasure from the dead trader cart unit.

When killing a trade cart there should be some resources left to take.

Skiritai, Hoplites, Spartations and Leonidas all have round shields. They look similar. The big difference is that skiritai use a sword. I would expect skiritai to also get the attack bonus when near Leonidas. Then it would make more sense to put them together in a phalanx formation.
