  1. I have the same question myself. Watching a game being developed over time is an interesting process. Especially when it is a game of such high quality as 0 AD
  2. I'm not a spam bot. Although, in hindsight I should have chosen a different thread tittle. I hadn't considered buying a phone second hand. Although I'm wary of doing so because the phone could have been rooted. I want to make sure I have a warranty for at least a year just in case.
  3. Over the past month I've been doing research into choosing my first smartphone. I've set a price range between $50-$100. Although I'd rather not pay $100 for a smartphone if I can avoid it. I'm looking for recommendations and suggestions since this is my first foray into the smartphone market. My initial research has led me to three possibility (so far) the LG Escape, The LG Nitro HD, and the Motorola Atrix HD. I've also listed some of the information I've learned so far. Listing everything would take several pages. I haven't been able to find many reviews on the LG Escape since it was only released this September. The LG Nitro HD only received an upgrade to ICS recently and I'm not sure if its worth buying at this point. The Atrix has been panned for having poor battery life and I hear it won't be supported six months from now. Right now the leading candidate is the LG Escape. Despite the lack of reviews it has decent specs and doesn't require a high end data plan. My only concern is its internal storage is only 1GB. I know that I can transfer apps to the SD card but 1GB isn't much. Thank you in advance for any pieces of advice you can provide. P.S.: I did consider Pantec Flex at one point. However, I took it off the list because it does not have gorilla glass. P.S. 2: If this is in the wrong section please move it
  4. *BUMP* Is the 0 AD team still funding one developer to work full time on the game? The reason I ask is that we haven't had any updates to this thread for awhile now.
  5. I like the concept. Raiding your enemies supplies should be a viable tactic. It would also add a little more strategy to the early stages of the game. Has resource raiding been done in another RTS before?
  6. Seeing this game continue to take shape has made me nostalgic about the days when I played AOE II. I even got a copy of the game and started playing it again. I do have another suggestion. Regarding the farms. Do you plan to incorporate an auto replant system like the one that was introduced in Age of Empires II: The Conquers expansion pack?
  7. I'd like to add my thoughts on your suggestion. Sending your unit to train into the Arena should come with the risk of death to the unit. After all, warriors did die during battles that were held in the Colosseum. Perhaps there could be levels of training. Something along the lines of the higher the level the greater the experience. However each level would be more risky than the next. I'm curious as to whether the game engine could support this.
  8. Glad to hear it. Thank you for the prompt answer. Any chance the town bell will be included in the next Alpha release?
  9. I finally got around to playing my first actual game using the current Alpha version and I was impressed. Even in Alpha form this game shows more promise then some games being made by major development studios. The finished product will certainly be worth waiting for. I do have one suggestion though. When the AI first attacked I looked for the garrison bell. In Age of Empires, the garrison bell calls all non-military units back to the town center or guard tower for shelter. Once inside they could defend whatever structure they occupied. I did eventually realize that you could manually garrison non-military units but doing so felt cumbersome. It also took my attention away from destroying the enemy attack force. Would adding a similar feature to 0 A.D. be possible or would it cause too much feature creep?
