  1. That's a simple explanation. Thanks The pausing is annoying and I hoped the cpu "issue" would explain it.
  2. Noticed that out of the 8 cpu's listed in System Monitor, 0 A.D. only uses 1 and ~800 MB memory. With a total of ~450 units and ~200 structures the game starts pausing 1-2 seconds increasingly. Details: 0 A.D. version: 0ad 0~r11863-1~ubuntu12.04.1 / compiled svn revision 12663 OS: Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz × 8 Memory: 4GB PC3-12800 Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M - 2 GB / Intel HD Graphics 4000 Bumblebee: 3.0.1-3~preciseppa1 Swap: 8GB SSD, swappiness 10 Tried different setups, with default Intel GPU or bumblebee-nvidia with setup changes, changed swappiness and now I'm all out of ideas. Besides the "out of memory" bug already filed, I haven't found anything helpful, so I'm open for suggestions
  3. Didn't want to open a ticket for this one, since it's a smaller detail. But when attacking women, shouldn't big bad warriors possess more strength and speed than the attacked? Too often a game is finished after women have been chased across the map, since the soldiers need to stop walking before they can attack. Historically men did possess more strength than women around the Roman era.
