Does anybody else have the problem of the game consistently crashing and freezing?
I don't know why it is but whenever I play multiplayer (dunno about single player, don't use it) it frequently freezes up and occasionally crashes back to the desktop. It irritates the hell out of me. Does anyone know the cause/fix?

Happens all the time to me i have so many issues with that game its almost impossible to play.

The patch is highly recommended for the dolphin-diving fix alone.
Unfortunately it severely crimps attack helis: rocket pod size, minigun damage and hitpoints are all reduced, while AA missiles lock on faster and track better.
That translates to: mobile AA is a serious danger; no more invincible helis.
Solution is to hide behind hills, woods and buildings; pop up quickly to have a look and shoot TV missile. This is the way it is IRL anyway.
Conclusion: there will be whining after people get utterly wasted by flak, but the game is (to be honest) better for it.
it is in no way better, its like playing it in bullet time the units move so slow now.

I played, but the community are mostly a$$holes and the new patch @#$%ed everything up, try gamespy though for some good servers unranked probaly.

pffff, thats what im saving up for, cause you never know when you will be running battlefield 2 and fear at the same time, too bad windows xp only supports 4 gigs of ram. And why not put 4 of the dual core 4800+, on a server motherboard, actually one of those italy processers that are like 1000 a piece...i really need to stop wasting my time on newegg.Yeah, uh, that's just insane.

To get everything turned up in fear you would need two 512 7800gtx's and a dual core amd 4800+

I was talking about morrwind, but about stalker i played the beta and it looked finished only the sounds were off, dont know what there doing that is taking forever.

That would probaly be more expensive than a subscriton cause i would have to pay for each one to be shipped from japan. But thanks for the idea.
