  1. Or one can just wait a short while and download Alpha 11 which supports those things and far more by default ;) No need to download any additional software and trying to figure out how to get it to work :) ( http://trac.wildfire...i/Manual_Cheats for more information on what cheats are available and how they work)

I can't wait! When will it be released, I know on the main page it says the next few days, so hopefully this weekend?

  2. It seems to be a quickly/poorly made trainer, but I still find it fun if you can get it to work, some times it works for me then it doesn't, I found the first time it doesn't work, but if I exit the game and start again it works. Only will work in Matches>Random game

Start the trainer, start the game, Single Player>Matches>Random and leave all the settings as default it seems to work.

I will email the site and hopefully they will change it

  3. On a side note, I've always wanted someone to make a RTS game with old-school 2D graphics, with the system requirements of say AoE 1, but then to make it have a massive population limit (maybe even thousands). Surely this would run smoothly on the shiny machines we have today? Total Annihilation has a 5000 pop limit patch, but the pathfinding is already pretty shoddy with small numbers of units. I have never really seen the point in RTS games being 3D, other than to keep up with the other games. AoK already has more than good enough graphics to see what is going on... But yeah, I'm going :offtopic: now. I'll stop.

Haven't you played Cossacks or American Conquest? You can have 16,000 units on a map at once.

  4. One thing we have planned is that if you construct a building on uneven terrain, the terrain should get automatically flattened (otherwise the buildings look like they're partly floating, which is silly). But more extensive terrain alteration sounds more complex to do well (we'd probably have to deal with changing terrain textures, and handle units that drown themselves, etc).

Flattening of the terrain is a great idea, and makes sense if you are building on uneven terrain, I guess it's how you go about it, not sure if you remember the Populous game series from years ago, it's a classic game, when you build a hut (or any building for that matter) if the terrain is uneven, the villager/peasant would jump up and down in the spot that needed flattening and the terrain would gradually lower to match the level of the surrounding terrain, was quite a cool thing to watch.

  5. Good luck with it! When is it due? :ok:

Thanks. Not sure on timeline, just focusing on England and getting that done. Here is an update on the longbowman, early stage, the look and appearance will change with the final model:

This version has short scabbard for his short sword for melee attack:
