My Final Decsision

I m in the difficult position to write this letter.

First of all I would like to list my sort contribution to the project.

1) I introduced and worked towards an idea of more simple design. The people that were participating in the secret

design discussions in the WoadCreations Forum know this very well.

2) I introduced for the first time an agenda and a plan with a time-table for Design work. Also this is very well

known to the people of the WoadCreation secret Forum.

3) I repeatidly persude a more organized team management which was integrated with sheets that helped to organize

departments.

4) I was also one from the creators of the idea to cut down on Civilisation to save development time, along with Jason.

Jason know this very well.

5) I also worked with Jason in the reform of the Design Department which conclude to lock me out of DESIGN which was no

problem by me.

6) I was the source of inspiration for the multi-branch Greek CIV.

7) I done an awful good research on the website and the copyrights to provide a full security of our content etc.

8) Lastly I proposed marketing ideas to Jason that would make the project more popular.

9) I introduce Polls - the first poll about Jason's popularity was mine idea

10) Defended Jason on members that wanted to leave and they were unhappy with his Project Leading.. He knows that very

well

11) I recommend it the idea of a new website that would profile WFG as a more professional team and thus project. I have

to admit that was in Jason's mind for a new website as well.......

12) Online Design Document that I now see being implemented in the forums (an alternative I proposed)

I had to work for 2-3 months on my thesis and with Jason agreement I could do that and work on the website in October.

According to him and our contacts in the mean time there was no problem in being inactive for the period. I also asked

him to e-mail in case he needs anything or he wants me to work on the website during this time. But there was a shadow

over the website and Jason's intentions that slow my development. I was ready to get it online before I start working on

my thesis as the people they worked with me and Jason knew. But since there was no clear attitude to what he wants from

the website and I had to change things more than 2wice because Jason changed his mind suddendly. Anyway the point is and

I understand now that he never wanted or wants to give the iniative to anyone to develop his own work within his department.

I also understand that the website did not satisfy him due to changes that were more keen on giving members more power to

work with their own talent. I regretely see in front of me a control-freak that wants to have everything in the project

under his control and keeping all work done under his desire and plan.

My friend and mate Federico long time ago warned me that Jason did not like my kind and that he is always trying to discredit

me. I did not want to believe this at the time and I believe Jason was a mate and jolly good fellow. I see now clearly

that he never being a mate that could understand and support me while I was inactive or send even an e-mail to inform that

the website task is taken. I find this hypocrotical; I support it him; even when people were talking of voting for a new

leader. I support it him in many occasions while he never did the same. I consider this being the last blow for me. My last

try to find some sense in all these was an e-mail I send to him to receive an official answer on the fact if I will be doing

the website. And the following was his answer :

I decided about a month ago.  Tim (DarkAngelBGE) is going to do the new 0ad website and the new intranet. 

You don't need to worry about that anymore.  If you would like to work with Tim on the main WFG website that

would be fine with me, but you need to talk to him first.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head.  DA is working on the new website and you don't have a role there. 

I would rather have you focus on other things.  Like I said in that same topic... Fede could use your help in statistics,

you could also head up that cinima department you were talking about this last summer.  Tim will probably not use the site you made. 

He might use the layout though.

As for what I can contribute to the project that's again his answer.

Answer is - don't worry about it, others are taking care of it.   Do something that you would enjoy more! 

I remember when you were saying how much fun it was to do graphic art stuff instead of game design.  Well do it!  Do something you enjoy

After this asnwer and all we know Jason - we know what he means. And I personally know very well as my compatriot Federico does!

I decided that I don't deserve such disrespect and I would leave the team. I m not using the word resign since I now understand

that I was never part of the team... I have self-respect and I don't allow people to treat me in this way. This is the second time

that Jason does this to me. The first when Ken wanted to resign and he suspended me as well, when all people involved thought that

is unfair. Of course most of you won't be aware of these events.

I don't want to create an arguement and I don't want anybody to make something out of this. I wish that you never discover what I

discover in contributing in the project; how ungrateful people can be. I will just quit quetly omitting all goodbyes and explanations

but I wanted my side to be heard. So that people won't talk about me with disrespect. EVEN if you think that what I m saying here

cannot be right or it's just plain false statements the people involved with me and the people they know me in the project will understand.

I feel that the team leader does not saw the appropriate respect for a team member and a simple e-mail would do to convince me that to

commit my resources in the project. But since he already decided this a month ago and broke a promise to me and did not even send me an

e-mail. I think that convinces me not be involved in such an environment with such a person. Also I m sure that his secret or hidden agenda

has succeeded in forcing me to resign. He knows that I m a proud and sensible person and that a single e-mail would do to leave the website

for someone else (I actually ASKED him to do this in the case of somebody else doing the website). I m convinced that all the events of the

last days had being propagated to force me to resign.

I would like to thank Stuart for his great work in the project; I can see him being a good project leader; Ken is a very wise guy and you

should all listen to him; He put more than anyone in the project Design; Federico for his critical mind to evaluate ideas and his friendship.

Also James for being always there with good ideas; Sting for making wonderful work in his news and the great knowledge on historical issues;

Derfel (aka Kor) that we had interesting discussions about scenario and game ideas; Jeru for our discussions online and his restless spirit

in making this project work; Raj for his time in talking programming issues;All the rest that maybe I forgot that already left or that are still in the team for the nice time we had together.

I don't know what has happened, as I am not a part of the staff.

Whatever happened isn't good, it is sad to see a member leave.

I have seen Wijit, leading WFG since a long time and till I have only seen a good leader in him
