diego-blaster
Hi guys, I was just looking around and found this amazing game that is driving me crazy and leaving myself addicted, just as AoE did before years ago. I tried to install it in a computer that is in my house and for some reason it keeps crashing everytime I try to start a battle, multiplayer or not. I succeeded connecting the two PC's, but it turns out that one of em runs in XP (mine is OK for now). First, here goes the error:Much to our regret we must report the program has encountered an error. Please let us know at http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ and attach the crashlog.txt and crashlog.dmp files. Details: unhandled exception (Access violation reading 0x00000000) Location: unknown:0 (?) Call stack: (error while dumping stack: No stack frames found)errno = 0 (No error reported here)OS error = 2 (El sistema no puede hallar el archivo especificado.) <- That's in spanish cos I live in PerĂº. For real. Here are, too, both files I saw before you've been usually requesting in some posts. It seems to be (ok, not seems, it clearly is) a problem with graphics and textures inside the machine. I accessed them via C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\0 A.D. alpha and the "Open Logs Folder" script. crashlog.dmpcrashlog.txt Can you help me to deal with this problem? Or may I give up quickly? PD: fininsh up with the campaings!!!! Thanks Edited December 10, 2014 by diego-blaster
historic_bruno
The crash is definitely related to graphics card/driver described here, but it's already fixed for the next release. Edit: should mention that you can use the SVN dev version of the game until A18 is released, if you want to play the game in the latest state, though it won't be compatible w/ A17 in multiplayer.
