corrupted 0 AD install

I corrupted my 0 AD install somehow and reinstalling doesn't help.

I'm guessing I have some files of 0 AD left somewhere on my computer that's causing this.

I have deleted the following and I still get issues:

C:\Users\4670\Documents\My Games\0ad

C:\Users\4670\AppData\Local\0ad

C:\Program Files (x86)\0 A.D. alpha

So I'm not sure what to do anymore.

I have also un-installed the SVN version

If you installed to C:\Program Files (which you should never do), it's possible that Windows used the VirtualStore in C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore (for compatibility with old apps that try to write in Program Files on Vista+), which will override whatever is in C:\Program Files and doesn't get uninstalled automatically either.

I just checked, the virtualstore folder you mentioned is empty.

Is the problem only with sound files? Maybe it's an issue with the sound card or drivers.

Can you describe what modifications or changes to the game you had most recently? When did it work last?

i tried making a custom map for 0 AD SVN, yet that corrupted things somehow for every 0 AD install on my PC. so i uninstalled everything, deleted everything, yet everything remains corrupted.
