  1. there's a demo

    i played it

seems that you just memorize some build combo's (i.e. ratios of what buildings you need to make) and the strategy doesn't go too much beyond that

the game's probably "dead" online anyways so even if there is actual depth to it, it won't be developed without a community of great players

the single player had potential, but it didn't seem like they were doing the story-telling well enough. a solid campaign could have made it worth $15 or something

  2. maybe edit the posts so they don't run off the screen (1680 horizontal pixels here...)

anyways the art style is really neat. if the units are actually that big on screen then I think they need more detail (like eyes and a mouth)

  3. I prefer real time tactics because I can't micro

    :)

as far as naming conventions go:

strategy effectively means thinking is most important and your decisions matter more than your ability to implement them perfectly

tactics effectively means micromanaging individual units / groups of units into formations usually involving high amounts of button presses and clicks

  4. looks cool

one reason you might have a hard time finding programmers because us programmers who are "consumed by academic obligations" aren't learning the skillset you require, at least not as part of an undergrad curriculum at somewhere like Cal.
