    Ok Im downloading the suse 9.2 gome on cd, then I burn the image file to a cd in nero right. and when The cd is in it should boot up into linux instead of windows right? Thanks fyhuang for the help!

    Lets say I want to boot up linux on a computer from a cd, But from what I see there is more then one version of linux. Like Knoppix or gentoo or whatever. Which is the best one ,or what do you use yourself. Im mostly trying to do this for learning somthing and just a bit out of cursiosity of how differnt it is. I've used Knoppix a little bit But can I make bootable cds out of the other versions that work on other computers?

    ohh no this looks like I could have a hardware problem. It still slowed down when I tried everything. I booted up into Knoppix to see if it slowed down on linux and it does. Does this mean its a hardware problem?

    Thanks I will try all those steps and tell you the outcome when I get it done. I might have some java applications somewhere I am not the only one who uses this comptuer. anyways thanks ill tell you how it worked out when I get time. Thanks Rep UP

    Halo is WAY overrated

    Ive been playing halo for 2 years almost and have had more memroble moments in it then any other game period. Sure Halo 2 campain slaps you in the face at the end But I enjoyed it, it was great exept for the ending. The graphics meet up to my demands by far in halo 2. But what sells to halo more then the other games Is the multiplayer. Not to mention the weapon balance, gametypes, downloadable maps, This is the best multilayer game on the xbox I have ever played. I guess another reason is About every month or 2 Me and my friends get together and have system links with 16 people late into the night. And Halo 2 is the only game to play when you got the right people and gametypes it rocks. Dont judge it tell you have played it on xbox live or with some of your best friends.

    Plus every one likes a game there good at! :D

    I dont like Microsoft that much ethier But they did make the best console ever and provided a Good enough machine for Halo 2!

    Hey guys, Does any body know what is wrong with my computer. The promblem is when Ever I run ceartin programs, Video or computer games my computer slows down and it shows the cpu at 100% when practicly no programs or running. It will go fast for 1 or 2 min and the slow down so much you cant do anything for about a 45 sec to a 1 in and 30 sec. This is very annoying and It is impossible for me to enjoy games or even bigger applications like photo shop. I use adaware and spybot doctor, cleaned my computer of unecciary files, and Have serached for common problems but I can't find whats wrong. I run a compaq persario 5000 intel pentium 4 proccessor My C drive is around 70G and I have another hard drive system_save_D with around 10G I dont know much what this one is for but it came with the computer, I have around somewhere between 750 mb memory to 1G, Anyways I dont know what would cause these cycles of slowing down and speeding up. I have all my files neccesary backed up on cd And if I could just get a guid e or somthing I wouldnt mind formating the hardrives and reinstalling windows or better yet some other operating system. Thanks for any help guys Id appreciate it. Ive tried just about everything.

    It is around 2 to 3 years old But it is still a good computer to todays standards and ran everything on fine until lately. but I guess the promblems piled Up I dont want to get a new computer if I can fix this one up.

    OK I got easy php on. and I'm using file zilla and smart ftp for my ftp clients. But I dot really know how to get starteed and get a web site up :lol: . I just need to know how to get the site started using file zilla or smart ftp :) thanks for any help in advance.

    I'm just starting to get into a programing and I know a little in html but still not much. Any one know any good books our websites. I wana get the basics in HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML,DHTML ?PHP? I'm tring to learn It all quick to get the oad TWC clan site going. :P . Any help is always appreciated. thanks :drug:
