  1. Ubuntu 12.10 is out of its official support period now, so it won't get any security updates even for known problems - you really need to upgrade to a newer Ubuntu release. (This page has details of support dates.)

Our PPA doesn't have new packages for alpha 16 on 12.10, because nobody should still be using 12.10 now.

Thanks I just figured this out, gonna be going back to 12.04, thank you

  2. Ok you need first Update or Add our repo for each release.

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wfg/0ad

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get install 0ad

I did this and but when i try to update i get this

    Err http://ppa.launchpad.net quantal/main Sources

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
  3. If I remember right you have to set a ppa as the source repo to get the latest as the official Ubuntu repo does not update the 0AD package between Ubuntu releases.

    Enjoy the Choice :)

But i thought i did this when i typed "sudo add-apt-get-repository ppa:wfg/0ad " before updating and installing?

    - and it still is only alpha 15
