  1. Yes, I'm downloading and compiling the latest I can get through git every couple of weeks. I'm keeping an eye on the changes but it doesn't seem to be improving.

I understand the bleeding edge version is an experimenting field, so no complains! It is an awesome piece of work and it's great to feel people constantly care about it, so I love to check any progress made.

The official release as available thru my distro repos is flawless. But the game is unplayable at the present stage-- just a remark.

  2. Thank you for your response. Please note that I do not criticize the decision not to offer packages! I just find that, when you intend to download the latest release and you do not find the proper package, the webpage navigation goes awkward. The links seem always to lead to some downloadable version and you get into a loop. Simply adding some "follow _these instructions_ if you do not find your distro here" blurb, pointing to the SVN source download and compilation process instructions, would do.

  3. I want to chime in for the congratulations. I've become addicted to frequent downloading from SVN repo, as I find there is virtually a new game version every week. The game only gets more and more exciting.

    Thank you huge lots!

  4. Can we at least have a config toggle to turn off the ships behaviour when they are about to receive garrison units? If they already are in place, they do an unrealistic shaky dance and seem to complicate garrison rather than help. I'd prefer to be responsible of properly positioning them.

  5. Please, please, please give an eye to the download function of the site. How is a user supposed to download a latest release, say, Naukratis Linux version? If I am a Debian user, I end up being told to apt-get install it, which, as we know, simply says that my installed version is already the newest one. Same for other distros. Other clicks make us go merry-go-round about the same page... it's too messy! If you're supposed to go the svn way for the sources, please state so clearly. I've found this solution only after much wandering around.

    Thank you in advance!

  6. It's not just you. I've noticed this as well. If I can figure out a reliable way to reproduce it I'll see if I can fix it somehow. All ranged units do have an "accuracy" attribute that controls how wide their shots can go from the target, but I've seen bolt shooters shoot straight up or otherwise completely astray. This is what you're referring to, right?

That's exactly what I mean, these units seem to shoot exactly opposite to the target. Lithobolos (spelling not guaranteed) fire OK though.

The oblique marks coming from the selected units in my screenshot are bullets and their shades. I can even point the camera adequately to have a close look at them. They are supposed to be attacking the tower at the right.

    Behold!

No wonder the tower I selected to attack has 0 damage after hours of continually firing somewhere else. :lol2:

Hint: :o I just come to notice that in this particular square map, the shots seem to be directed just right to the SW corner (possibly [0,0] coordinates point?). If i move the units and point to another target, the bullets go right to that corner again!
