What sort of person should verify? Another person who knows Sanskrit very well? And should he post here verifying my translation or send it in some other way? I have friends proficient in the language and can get one of them to verify and correct minor errors (if any) in the translations...

Then, I will begin recording.

Hi everyone, I finally did Sanskrit translations for the first few phrases for the Mauryans. As I was not sure how to edit Sanskrit texts here, I uploaded a pdf here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/166937114/Sanskrit-Translation-for-0AD.

To the people in charge of the voice recordings, what are the quality requirements in terms of bitrate, compression standard (mp3, ogg or some other lossless format)?

Dear all,

I think that the Mouryans could speak Sanskrit or at least Hindi. If the development team has the English texts of what the in-game units speak (currently Greek or Latin), I would be happy to help tranlsating them to Sanskrit or Hindi and also provide some of the male voice recording (in fact, with some of my friends, I could cover all of male voices and possibly even female voices)!

P.S.: I and my friends have done some basic Indian theatre plays etc. so we could give decent voice recordings, I think.
