Looks awsome!! (the hoplites steal the show , ps they where one of my first true loves dang what am i saying i realy need to get out more and get a girl freand LOL)

Are you going to be able to but the units in a formation you want like say you going into a terrirtoy where youll be surounded so you would want to put your hoplites (if tour a hellen) in a square formation and the slingers or archers in the miiddel(especilay if your up aginst horse archers or any mobile missle flinging enemy )

Or the classic formation with the infantry in the middel and th calvary on the sides

An hybrids of the formations so you can be flexible in any battle

like a real general i would use the formation hannibla used in the battle canea or something like that and outward cresent to suck in the bolw of a concentrated attack to incircle it .

or another would be one i learned from the crusades where the crusaders where in a tight suare or could be a circle being picked off from the turkish assault when the turkish were hit form behind from the other part of the cursader army that was catching up (they didnt plan this ) this would be even more effective if you did it with calvary

In other words it would be like alexanders hammer and anvil strategy except the anvil is in a squar formaition and the hammer is hiden back waiting to hit the enemy after its incircle the troops in the square formation.

I think some house to house urban fighting would realy be cool so buildings wont'nt just be a place to spawn units.

You know if somone was asaulting your barracks you would climb on the barracks wall and shoot arrows like rambo and pick them of and throw rocks at them and boiling fat to finish them off.......ect

if you can youve already gone far and beyond what is necesary especialy for a free game!!!
