As a side note for this matter: Act of War (a modern warfare RTS released back in 2005) introduced a unique feature: Prisoners of War. When you fought enemy infantry/vehciels and you destroyed them, there was a chance that the drivers/soldiers survive and can be captured by the winning side for additional money (only resource in the game).
