Initially, this thread began with this post called "Using Windows 10's Linux subsystem for development?" and indeed on the topic of WSL. Somehow, we got a bit OT, but I think that we went into the right direction, i.e. covering questions around how to set up the building environment under Windows 10 etc. Therefore, I have renamed this thread accordingly and hope to attract more interested users and also get further help from our pros here.
