this is my list ... it is not, in my opinion, a reference list ... but it looks pretty good on the whole :drug:

to burgle - to enter a building illegally

to steal - to take sth. from a person/shop/store without permission

to smuggle - to take, send or bring goods or people secretly and/or illegally into/off a/the country

to abuse -the use of sth. in a way that is harmful

to murder - the crime of killing sb. deliberately

to rape - the crime of forcing sb. to have sex with you, especially using violence

to blackmail - to threaten unhappy.gif

to kidnap - to take sb. away illegally and keep them as a prisoner

to beat - to hit

to rob - to steal money or property from a person or place

to embezzle - to steal money that you are responsible for or that belongs to your employer

abduction - kidnapping

vanadalism - the crime of destroying public property for no reason

arson - the crime of deliberately setting fire to sth.

manslaughter - the crime of killing sb. illegally but not deliberately

physical assault - attack

drunk driving - driving a vehicle after having drunk a lot of alcohol

extortion - to make sb. give you sth. by threatening them

bank fraud - misappropriation

forgery of documents - the crime of copying documents in order to deceive people

to mug sb. - to attack sb. violently in order to steal their money

to smuggle - to transmit goods illegally

to abuse - to harm

to murder - to kill intentionally

to rape - to force sexual intercourse upon

to blackmail - to force another person to do something by threatening them to carry out something against their interests (e.g. publicizing something from the victim's private life)

to kidnap - to take a person where they are unlikely to be found

to beat - to use physical force with one's hands or with blunt objects to harm. (Or: to defeat)

to rob - to unrightly take another person's possession(s) as one's own

to embezzle - to appropriate (as property entrusted to one's care) fraudulently to one's own use (Merriam-Webster)

abduction - kidnapping

vanadalism - intentionally causing damage to an inanimate object, e.g. by spraying grafitti

arson - intentional starting of fire to destroy property

manslaughter - unintentional killing

physical assault - attacking another's body

drunk driving - controlling a moving vehicle while intoxicated

extortion - blackmail, typically done to obtain money

bank fraud - lying to financial institutions for profit

forgery of documents - fabricating documents, making a document look as if it were genuine when it isn't.

to mug sb. - to rob someone, esp. of the valuables the victim carries on their body while in a public place
