I think Wildfire Games as the maintainer should make an official linux release that they stand behind, as the official maintainer.

WFG is not being accountable to only offer a download from "other" sources such as other parties' PPA and snap installs.

What is the security problem with 0 A. D.?

Too much telemetry e.g. spying? 

Too little GDPR compliance?

We can only speculate when there is such a loud silence over non delivery of the game.

Once again the problem comes from the hardening flags used by Ubuntu, which is one of the only distribution that doesn't provide A24.

You can see that 0 A.D. is available on quite a lot of distributions of Linux and BSD https://repology.org/project/0ad/badges

The idea of wfg provided packages is what is broken.
