Hey all,

Anyone trying to connect to multi player on M1 Mac? Every time I click "connect" the app crashes. I'm not sure what information would be useful to debug.

Here's a snippet of the crash report

Termination Signal: Illegal instruction: 4
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0x4

I can post the entire thread dump if useful.

also, can you share your experience with 0ad on M1 mac.

I still have an old intel based MBP and was very eager to upgrade to a new mac this year or next. Definitely M1 based. What frame rates are you getting, with default graphics settings and what are you getting at max graphics settings?

FPS can be enabled via settings or press "alt "+"f".

ok so I just tried it it out.
On very high settings: 8-10 FPS :(
high: 50-55 FPS

This is a M1 Mac Mini w/ 16gb ram.

I also have a 13" MBP 2018 / i7 work machine (16gb)

very high: 15-20 fps
high: 50-51 fps

So overall not bad performance with the emulation, but nothing to rave about.

All these figures where from my just loading the game, so probably would go down considerably when there's lots of action going on.

Edit: I can't post for 24 hours now, so will reply to your DM later
