What Bombs Do You Launch On New Years ?

Recommended Posts

Yes, I am a cracker freak. :P

I was trying to get me some crackers that are forbidden to under 18s in Germany (no, that is not in violation of the VGs B)).

Anyways, this thread's purpose is to talk that new years stuff. As an introduction, I have some videos here. :P

In Germany forbidden..seems to be not working tho.

One of the greatest rockets on this planet. Watch that video and get your sound volume very high and wet your pants. :P

Some cracker from Hungary. It doesn't seem as loud, because it is launched in a forest. I noticed such a thing in Berlin last year...it got several windows to broke..:P

None, it's illegal here :P (because many people got hurt already)

Well many people go buy it in The Netherlands, but I'm not sure if this is still possible, seeing what happened at Enschedee a few years ago (building full of fireworks exploded and a big part of the town was turned into a moon landscape).

It's Illegal In California because it's one big desert here. If one fire cracker goes astray the whole state will be on fire, just like a few months ago with the Wild Fires.

I used to live in Florida though, and you could buy tons of firecrackers there, even the big ones :P But I was only 5 at the time, I don't remember much, hehe

I live in good ol' Ohio where we commonly launch lots of things into the air B)

I live in a pretty secluded area, so if there's a big empty field somewhere around, no one cares if you blow stuff up :P

In fact, me and some of my friends built a little shoulder mounted rocket launcher with an electrical ignition.

But that was pretty primitive.

Our next little project is to construct a 2.5m or so tall trebuchet - we already built a prototype to study the mechanics, a small trebuchet, less than 35 cm in all dimensions, but it can fire a ping-pong ball sized object 9 meters :P

So I guess I prefer the more mechanical stuff to the explosive stuff. :P
