Should i also add the state split animations? Idle > Prepare > Aim > Loose > Reload? Just in case

Well I'd like to keep things simple before those are implemented if that makes sense (which means less maintenance down the road)

@Alexandermb Same drill than @fatherbushido's reds are missing files, green are existing ones referencing them :) I'm really happy I added the mod support to checkrefs.pl

From all of that, infantry actors are just placeholders for testing. I'll do the whole actor update after finishing comitting the whole animation + greaves + aspis + pelta + sheaths for swords.

i didn't found any jog_relax_shieldsmall with sword in actions so replaced with the one using the actual "shieldsmall_swordsman" Just committed the fix.

Nope, won't be fixed. Those actors placeholders, those won't gonna be committed. Ignore the actors units folders.

The master mind behind the stance based animation was @Angen wich can be found in this mod:

Speaking from the lack of knowledge from the latest animation additions, wouldn't be higher priority to make more death variations for infantry units?

Afaik, I just made one on the original animation set and I don't really know if any other death variations were added later on.

On the same train of thought, it could be interesting to apply the same changes done lately to the armature in the blendfile with the ragdoll setup to make such animations based on physics (bake the animation and keyframe required bones by inserting "visual loc-rot" keyframe. (I would make a test first keyframing all bones and if the animation look weird, leave out the root bone from the keyframing bone set)

Well the priority here was to fix the debug build of the game, then i guess it would be time to update the Art Task Thread :D

I hate the death animations (at least doing manually) but i do have learned something about the physics and did that with an unit mesh but didn't found how to bake it properly. But when doing the SCAR animations i've applied gravity to magazine when reloading so kinda know how now, applying keyframes to the constraits

1- bake the physics animation

2- Scroll through the timeline with the bones you want to keyframe selected

3- Insert keyframes for all bones selected using "visual loc-rot" each frame or each 2 frames (depending how much fidelity you want) 

4- Save the animation in the dopesheet and append it from a blendfile without the physics setup and see the result.

5- Profit

@wowgetoffyourcellphone having this finally committed. Would you mind taking two screenshots in proper scenarios and with your graphics settings for update the loading screen tips wallpapers of formations.

I have in mind one for phalanx recreating gaugamela or something like that and one of romans attacking walls in testudo formation.

Do you happen to have the elephant riders animations in new folders :D i didn't know they were in there to be honest. 

There is an ongoing blackout again in my country but im trying to fix what i can fast before it reaches my house, at least 11 states whitout electric power.
