Thanks! Not for A25 though. I still have my hands full attempting to finish all of the hero stuff. Little did I know how much work it would be.

Your mod is very varied and innovative. I'm really excited about your version for alpha 25. please never stop ...

lol. It has been ages since I received a diplomatic offer from an enemy. Nice try to save your butt, Ashoka!

Since my ally turned out to be an absolute peacenic the game probably would've gone on for hours if I had accepted:

(Also, shouldn't it be 'It would be to both our benefit...'?)

^New minimap in DE provided by @Langbart^

I wish we could have civ-specific UI textures. I would make the minimap background different for each civ.

Where are these icons located? Could we make use of them in the mini map?

I don't know if they are cut-off like this, though.

Is there a way to see the path of an object in the console when clicking on the object? (would be very useful)

Not that I know of.

Thanks for the link to the emblems. They are not stored cut-off, which is nice. :)

Could we use these civ icons?

For e.g. Han China, it would be this for the mini map:

Could these png files be dimmed by code?

@Stan` What are sprites?

	<!-- ================================  ================================ -->
	<!-- Minimap -->
	<!-- WIP ToDo: Should the minimap have its own sprite.xml file for clarity? -->
	<!-- ================================  ================================ -->

BTW, there are 2x macedonians, and I wonder what "poleis" means? And what about Thebans? And are "Mauryas" hellenes (hele)? See: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/ArtFileNamingConventions#Civilizationnames

Sprites are xml objects that reference textures, or part of textures. There are a few files called sprites.xml listing such images in the gui folder.

poleis was another civ that might have been planned in the past, thebans too, although they are in DE now.

hellenes was the civ emblem used for all greek civs before they were splitted. Initially your tech changes would affect your buildings and the heroes you'd get.

Mauryas are another civ.

Now I found them, too:

grafik.png.f885ca059e891d95af7266764d3884ae.png

So this sprite is defined as follows:

Quote

    <sprite name="BackgroundWhiteBorderBlack">
        <image
            backcolor="white"
            size="0 0 100% 100%"
        />
        <image backcolor="black" size="0 0 100% 1"/>
        <image backcolor="black" size="0 100%-1 100% 100%"/>
        <image backcolor="black" size="0 0 1 100%"/>
        <image backcolor="black" size="100%-1 0 100% 100%"/>
    </sprite>

PS: Why doesn't the forum software let me use code tags when editing this post?

PS2: Sorry that I got so much OT here. :blush:
