Thanks for your application. You say you have experience animating, animation skills on 0 A.D. are highly appreciated, Do you have any work examples of your animation skills?

You have there nice models also, I liked the chariots ;). Would you like to start modelling a chariot as a skill test for the new Mauryan faction?

This way you can get used to the workflow, and learn how to import and export models into the game. Here are some references if you are interested:

If you prefer to model other 3D assets like gaia/flora etc, there are threads around about biomes to get started. Just tell me and I'll link them.

I made firearm animation stack for RTW:OiM mod, two-hand lance horse animation for RTW and slinger animation stack for M&B. I’ll try to find it all in my archives and show it.

That chariot looks awesome AlxCruel!! nicely done ;)

You don't need to make the horses, but you'll have to add a helper/empty/null object where the horses should go in order to add them later.

And I think more empty objects will be needed for the units to stand on the back but I'm not 100% sure.

Do you want to try making the chariot textures?

Did you imported any mesh from the game to have an scale reference?

Hi, sorry.

I'll try to scale and add helper objects tomorrow. Textures are my achilles' heel. I can made geometry, UVW mapping, rig mesh to skeleton. But texture will be to horrible.

ok, no problem.

Post the .DAE file in a zip here on the forum and simply jump to the next model, or if you want, you could make 2 chariot variation, for veteran and elite units (this one you made could be for normal units). Each one should have more "aggresive details" look ^^
