  1. My initial guess is that the system pulls the posts from the last X unit of time. I was able to find some retired users that are still active and have items pop up in their feed (Centurion_13), and then users who haven't been active for years and have nothing in their feed (Curufinwe). Based on the dates I'm seeing, I'm guessing the limit is 1 year.

    I'll dig deeper and confirm.

  2. I'm having difficulty with the search tool. The search doesn't seem to bring up posts before 2011. Also, when I look at a member profile (part of the retired group) and go to look at their posts, it won't pull any of their posts or topics. Can this be duplicated and possibly fixed?

I took a look at the search problem. Using advanced search, I set my search range between 2008 and 2011. I got results from before 2011. Also, I noticed that the default is to sort results by the last time the thread was modified. It appears that it'll find posts from further in the past, but it's the thread's date that appears.

I'll look into the retired user issue.

  3. Logout used to work. Someone at some point edited the templates and it converted '&act' into '%A7' for all links.

The same bug used to affect the mark as read link, but I fixed that one.

I wonder if this is a character encoding issue with one of our browsers. I don't think any one would intentionally edit those links -- that just seems strange.

  4. Something is wrong with posts 'reputation': I click on 'vote this post up', it gets +1 to reputation, later I reopen the topic and the post is displayed with 0 reputation and I'm unable to vote again.

Do you have a link to a post that you tried up-voting?

  5. Hey there!

Sorry for the slow response, I'm currently on vacation. Nothing should have been deleted. It's possible that it was overwritten or that I've misconfigured a URL somewhere. Either way, we made backups before doing our upgrade, so rest assured that nothing was lost. I'll hop on it next week when I get back.

  6. We've completed another forum upgrade, and we hope you like it! This release didn't come without issues. There are two known issues at this time:

    1. The Pledgie and Paypal badges are missing. They will be added back in soon.
    2. Avatar images may have been changed. If your avatar's been modified, feel free to change it back by going into your profile settings.

If you have any issues or feedback, drop by our upgrade feedback thread.

  7. Later today, Wildfire Games will be performing an upgrade to it's forum software. The upgrade will start around 7pm GMT. During this time, the forum will be unavailable. The wiki, Trac, and all of our other applications will still be running normally. We expect for the upgrade to take only a few hours. If you spot any issues after the upgrade, feel free to stop on by and file a ticket.

    Thanks, everyone, for being patient!
