I just did the test with my "high-speed" cable and got....
Communications: 5.3 megabits per second
Storage: 650.6 kilobytes per second
1MB file download: 1.6 seconds
Subjective rating: Awesome
So I'm already good.
But if you can get 4-5 times faster with fiber optics, then that sounds good! Save up a load of money and get that 5x faster plan and see what happens!

Apple iCal, Google Calendar, Mozilla Sunbird... anything like that. I just set iCal to email me when I need to do something. I'm on the computer most of the time, and Mail is almost always open, so I'll see anything I need.

How would read each line of a file into an array of char *'s? I could get my file descriptor FILE *fp = fopen("blahblahblah", "r"), use a loop to find out how many lines there are, and then make an array with that number, and then loop through again to get the lines. Is there an easier way?

Anyway, it's a nice UI though, so thumbs up for that. But the Blogger layouts for example are still miles ahead of this.
That's why it's only in beta (like everything else in Google...) I'm sure they'll improve it.
