Rout!
in Screenshots
Come on, guys! You can make it! Spears! You just need spear! Nooo! *sob*
So, historically, would so many elephants be at the same place at the same time without any real foot support to speak of?

I think it's a human--but you have to look at it a bit differently. On the "morning" (or, mourning, lol) of a life, you're a baby who crawls on all four. At the peak of our lives, or "noon" we're doing the two feet (or, for those of us that are unicyclists, one ). Aaaand on the "dawn", we're walking with three legs . . . the third being some sort of cane or something? Anyways, that's my guess.

I abhorred the pop cap in AoM. Not being able to field as many men as I had in AoE II was just . . . not right. I seriously don't mind having an extraordinarii taking up 2-3 population--it makes you build houses and whatnot; forces you to expand your empire's boundaries--but the cap was horrible. My two . . . no, three, cents.

Awesome job, Brendan! I've never been able to get the horses proportional with the riders . . . so I guess I stopped trying. Anyways, my hat is off to you!

The. Hastati. Must. Win.

Dude, you did a great job.
A thought, though, for the road part. I've never been to anywhere around Persia, but aren't there a few trees about?
And on a road with hundreds of people, would twelve galloping horsemen really make a noticeable "thunder"ing sound?
Other than that, none the conversations made any sense whatsoever.
Keep it up and keep us informed, Michael!

Beautiful.

NICE!!! Totally one of my favorite screens, Michael! Good job! Kinda feel sorry for the Greeks, though.

Hmmm . . . this is really a mod problem, and should stay that way unless the staff thinks it's a good idea to let the rest of the members should know.
The rest of you, watch in awe as mod-to-member and mod-to-mod activity spikes to over 550%.

Whoa! Sweet! Congratulations, man!

Nice article! Keep it up!

wow you guys must really be taking your time to do it right Ive just noticed this game for a few month's and its already got me all antsie i cant imagine having to wait years for it hopefully its almost finished and we can all get our hands on a download
oh yeah BTW maybe you should put up a status page on the project you know, list what your doing and the percentage of completion. ehh just a suggestion.... take it or leave it...
Geeze, it looks like we'll be stuck on 99% for the next three years.
But seriously, time calculating the percentage is time away from debugging a program and whatnot. Unless, of course, we could somehow bribe Bobby to cough up with some rough calculation, but I believe a rough calculation is all you all will get.

I'm not sure I grasp your meaning of "damage," Alex. The types of damage between buildings from AoM and AoEIII are much different, i.e. in AoM, to my knowledge, buildings just go up in flame and crumble; in AoEIII, buildings actually fall apart as damage is inflicted upon them.
Of the two, I think the latter would be a bit far-fetched, seeing how that just takes a ton of work to develop. I think it'd be better for morale if you expected the former, and if WFG announces that their buildings have the same effect--like in AoEIII--you can get really excited and morale doesn't suffer.

Welcome to the boards, Trevor! I'm Joe, WFG's Community Something-rather. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Nice, Bob, keep it up.

Sweet!!! I'm loving those shields. I noticed something in this screen. All the Carthaginian hand-to-hand cavalry are barefoot. Were they that way historically?

Actually, I've been looking forward to a naval battle for quite some time, now. Or, if that's something more along the lines of screenshots, just a showcase of different ships in various formations/positions/angles.
By the way, when are we going to get a Roman showcase?

Happy belated birthday, Josh!!! Sounds like you had an awesome one!
Say, you didn't happen to get any Michael Curtis Ford books, did you?
-
Welcome to the team, Jason! I'll have to scratch up a few questions.
-
The trailer is out! What do y'all think?

Bebo Norman - The Hammer Holds
Lol! Glad you liked it. Though, I've never heard of the band before.

Fingerprints of God - Steven Curtis Chapman
Good luck tonight, dude!

Welcome to the forums . . . Becky! Hope you enjoy your stay!
Say, I've noticed a lot of you guys from EWU coming here. Do y'all have some alliance with WFG or something? I'm just interested because I go to EWU three times a week for the swimming and library (hoping to jump into running start this fall).

Haha, sweet! I met a Swedish guy a couple days ago . . . or maybe he was Norwegian--I get the two mixed up a lot.
Nice bio, dude! Good to get to know you a bit.

People don't ask the right questions.
I dub thee that one holographic projection of that one dead doctor in iRobot, Michael.
What questions are we supposed to ask you?

Wow ... an interesting family, to be sure.
Holy cow! Seashells? Must've been humiliating for the Legions of Rome to be collecting seashells instead of sacking a city . . .
