Hey, y'all!
I thought my fellow WFGers would definitely be interested in this animated video I ran across: Historia Polski. Basically, it's Poland's history in about 8 minutes.
Kudos to those who recognize all the events!
-
You guys work magic. Seriously. I haven't been able to get this working on my Mac due to inexperience + time, so it's way awesome to see this going on!
-
WOW. Are you sure you don't want a box of tissues, AuroN2? Obviously yes, because your rocky past surrounding AOM is more than you can bear.
A small group of people have spent massive amounts of their time--and therefore money--on developing this game. Show some respect.

Haha! Bro, you know way more than I do at this. The only player I know is Zidan. And that's only because of the epic move he pulled on that Italian player. Purly nationalism that motivates me.
How 'bout you? In your opinion, who will win?
-
@Matt: I know another dude that's going into audio engineering. I've always wondered--is there a lot of money in that? Congrats on the wedding! That totally rocks!
USMC ROTC: United States Marine Corps Reserve Officer's Training Corps. Basically a shot at an officer's commission in the service via the ROTC program while in college.
I graduate high school in 18 days, and I have my option of University of Arizona, University of the Pacific, Arizona State University or University of Colorado at Boulder. Which would you choose?
Exactly.
I'm thinking about going for a BA in International Business, but I'm not so sure if that's the best of ideas.
Ummm... personally, I'd do UP. But that's just 'cause of the weather + sea. =/
I'm currently studying Marketing. And economics..
Very interesting. But a lot of reading and a lot of models. Models for everything =D
Dude. How do you like economics? I took Macro-Econ last quarter and pretty much vowed that I'd never take it again (until I saw I did pretty well in the class).

Hey, bro! Welcome to WFG!
-
Gah--not a Mac game. I would so be on top of it, though!
-
Aw, man. I wish my Mac could play it. I've been keeping tabs on this game for the last couple years, though. It looks like awesome!
-
Okay, so I just started watching the World Cup in '06 with some family from France. I totally loved it!
So, in light of that, I'm gonna have to cheer the French team on!
-
Currently, Koper, Slovenia has caught my eye. Beautiful country--Alps in the north, the Adriatic to the south.
-
Haha... Oyvind, I love your posts, bro! =D
Currently, I just finished up my midterms. Since I'm nearly done at my comm. college, I'm trying to transfer to a place around Seattle called UW. And when I'm there, hopefully I'll be enrolled in a USMC ROTC programme. So that's my plan for the next year.
-
YES! Soooo awesome! =)
-
Wow! I had no idea that Erik was the project leader. Totally awesome! =D
-
If I'm not mistaken, Commodus didn't have it all together upstairs.
-
Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!
I've never been a Star Trek fan, but this is something I've gotta see. =D
-
Yay! Registered and voted. Go WFG!!! =D

Whatever you do, never get into a land war in Asia. And never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
Exactly. And never start out in Europe--no one ever survives when starting out in Europe. I believe Australia is the best place to begin world domination.
-
Happy belated birthday, Michael! Was it awesome?
-
Sounds more like a joke to me. 0_o
-
Best screen I've seen yet, Michael. Absolutely beautiful. Noticed the new logo. Love that, too. Are you going to use that for everything, now?
The shadowing for the ships also impressed me. The whales are a nice touch, too.
Two thumbs up!

lol
Meh . . . Crysis. Totally. My bro got himself a new uber-awesome computer, so he can run it smoothly on the upper-level graphics.
-
Sweet!
Good job, Shane. I should consider thinking about making my own avatar. *Scratches head*
-
Excellent work, Josh!

G. A. Henty wrote a book about this. "Beric the Briton". I read it several years ago, but I thought it was mostly myth, due mostly to the 25-1 ratio. Amazing!
So was Boudicca actually a good strategist in her time, or did her armies win by sheer numbers and moral?
Rousing Speeches!

Hey, y'all WFGers!
So lately I've been thinking about the concept of leadership. One HUGE component of that, I've come to understand, are the simply awesome speeches given that seem to speak right to one's soul ('Twas said that Hitler played this card with exceptional expertise).
Most of my favorite speeches probably come from Warhammer 40k or some other work of fiction, such as:
"My people... Sons and daughters of Helghan. This much I vow. The history of these days will be written in blood. By crushing the armies of our enemy, by seizing the weapons they thought to turn against us, we were fighting for our very existence. But if there are those who would deny us peace; refuse us our rightful place in the universe, then we will unleash such terrible vengeance that generations yet unborn will cry out in anguish![...]The enemy may shatter our bodies, but they cannot break our spirit. Even now they advance on our home world, to seize by force what they cannot claim by right. They cannot imagine what awaits them. WE WILL SMITE THE INVADERS FROM OUR SKIES! Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter; never again will we bow before them; never again endure their oppression; never again endure their tyranny. We will strike without warning and without mercy; fighting as one hand, one heart, one soul. We will shatter their dreams and haunt their nightmares, drenching our ancestors' graves with their blood. And as our last breath tears at their lungs; as we rise again from the ruins of our cities... they will know, Helghan belongs to the Helghast." -Visari, Killzone 2
So what are YOUR favorite, rousing speeches that make you want to drop everything you're doing in life and take up arms against an enemy?
