its a community project open scource not well funded so makes sense it wont be secure and i can tell with near 0 specific programming knowledge.

and alot of ppl im sure would hack for even 50$ first place prize lol tahts what like 5k in africa or other poor areas? XD (no offence pls dont hack my potential event)

anyway borg said ppl wont hack and we could tell from watching but i get the feeling that there may be ways we wouldnt notice.

i will HAVE to put in a disclaimer either way giving me complete autority to do as i feel is right either way no matter what anyone thinks with decisions without any need to prove anything.

so if i think som1 cheated ill just ban them for good

can ppl like see others vision ect r there such in game hacks? or give units 100% accuracy or something like taht that might be a bit harder to notice?

i assume ppl cant change such things like ingame mechanics? am i wrong? prob not

but even info is relevant like inf amount ect and we may not even notice such things sadly..seems problematic

Or you could spend that 50-100$ on an editor to post for you and you might learn something in the process.

And that's from someone that never dances (except for hero flee stance, just cause nub to micro tho xD)

It also will cause great drama and protest if someone wins the game for doing dancing tricks if we remove the rule, they are not " op unit control " as wild clicking around is pretty simple a task. In order to avoid big drama while reviewing potential incididents we will apply the principle of german criminal law:  " in dubio pro reo" ( in case of doubt decide in favor of the accused). I guarantee you, in case a player tries to play " honourable " he will not run any risk.

@badosu  @MarcusAureliu#s   Maybe we should be more specific about each type of dancing and record short clips / gifs to show exactly what is not allowed because the drama about dancing goes on forever. You can also ban players from setting their hero to passive and force them to use other stances in this tournament. Some will complain about zig zag units escaping because the other units behind the escaping unit are still attacking the enemy units chasing it.

Therefore, tournament hosts can describe these scenarios more clearly (adding some short clips would be highly recommended) :

    1. What is single unit dance?

    2. What is patrol dance?

    3. What is formation dance?

    4. What is hero passive dance?

    5. What type of zig zag micro is allowed?

    I'm in!

Applications open to join my team: "Embrace Nubness"

I think tiers might be applicable y, my suggestion:

    Tier 1: Feld, Vali, Borg
Tier 2: Stock, Phyzic, chrstgtr, Rauls, fpre, .. (others?)
Tier 3: Boudica, faction02, Edwarf, Christmas, etc..
    And so on...

    Tier 1: 5 points, Tier 2: 3 points, Tier 3: 2 points, Tier 4: 1 point, Tier 5: 0 points?

Each team can only have max 10 points. So for example you could have Feld and Vali same team but then have two players from tier 5. Tier determination might be controversial though... (above is just an idea, don't be offended folks)

    eae op team name

My main reason for this post:
So that I could learn 0ad better, I began with Sandbox mode, then moved on to Very Easy mode and now I'm trying to learn even more by conquering the Easy mode. There are many things I don't quite understand yet such as territory boundaries. Of course, I understand some of it by now, but I'm sure there are other things about this that I don't know. The thing that bugs me the most though, & I can't find any info on 0ad strategy & game play & the fact that the enemy can & does take ownership/control over my buildings...This occurs more predominately in the Easy mode & not so much in the Very Easy & Sandbox modes. So, I'm pretty sure this phenomenon will escalate in the higher difficulty modes. How does one stop this or prevent this? Is there tips & tricks for 0ad? I'm sure there is, but where?

You need to garrison units. You can learn more about the 0ad keyboard shortcuts from this link

Basically you need your units to occupy the building to prevent it from being captured quickly

    https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/HotKeys

" Ctrl + Right Click on a structure with structure(s) selected: Set the rally point for created/ungarrisoned units to garrison inside the structure. "

Another op game led by GOAT, @PhyZik.

    Team 1:      x2 Maury      +      x2 Kushites

    Team 2:      1 Gaul + 1 Kushite + 1 Iber + 1 Sele

As usual @Wendy22 crying about dancing. Here is the replay for analysis. How is it possible a 1700s player can cry whole game vs a 1300s nubissh?

    @Wendy22 's typical response throughout the game was "I DON'T CARE.." .. :self_hammer:
