because we haven't such feature yet.

This game is amazing, I've been looking for something like this for awhile now. I love city builder RTS games and I've been looking for a game that has anything to do with Egypt and this fits me perfectly. I do want to know though if you'll be expanding on the building aspect of it? like Id really like to fill my kingdom with different structures or statues and pyramids, obelisks, even adding roads would be awesome, because right now it kinda feels empty with just the same few structures

try Aristeia is almost abandoned but have some buildings.

The design of the champion elite unit of the Mauryans (the female warrior / maiden) leaves much to be desired as being a unit of melee it carries in its back a quiver of arrows. In addition, it lacks any type of armor that gives it majesty. Basically she is a peasant woman with a shield and a sword that carries behind her a quiver of arrows that makes no sense whatsoever, because as I have said before, it is a unit of melee!

The Yuezhi were Tocharian. The theory is that they were related to the Kushans. My understanding though is that there's very little evidence of Tocharian in the Kushan language which is a massive problem with that theory.

So: Yes the Xiongnu and the Huns were also different in many ways. But the steppes were more about identity than ethnicity.

RE the Hepthaltites: They weren't Xiongnu, they were Hua, a vassal people of the Rouran. Or at least that's the best theory we have right now. They were definitely some sort of early Turkic nomad like the Huns, Oghurs, etc.

As for Haplogroup Q-M242... yes Y-Chromosomal haplogroups tend to spread really easily. The difference is that the Huns from sites such as Barkol, etc. have consistently expressed Q-M242 M25 L-712 thru L-715 which are consistent with Yeniseian peoples. The issue is that we have a rather limited sample size.

The Huns also used infantry. They were recruited from their vassal states, and the Xiongnu vassalized many principalities in Xinjiang (the Tarim Basin and surrounding area). There would obviously be a lot of variation from region to region but vassals from a wide area definitely supplemented the steppe nomads themselves, some coming from the Forest zone of South Siberia.

Chinese sources admittedly aren't my area, I deal with the European Huns mostly. That being said we know of several steppe nomad fortresses, namely Igdui-Kala in Kazakhstan, which dates to the 4th-5th centuries AD and is probably Hunnic. If you can provide me more info about said fortress and Zhao Xin, I can probably find more info on it for you.

    Yes.

you can be useful for the second part. I saw you in reddit and others forums.

  5. welcome.

it could be more minimalist but is okay to start.

The volunteering aspect of development is both it's greatest strength, as well as one of its weaknesses. Patience is a requirement. In everything. Money can't buy love. Money can't make a game like 0AD. Only the love, dedication, passion and tenacity of its developers can. So please stop antagonizing the developers and let them work! Give them words of encouragement, not these belligerent and uncalled for reproaches because things aren't going as fast as you'd like them to go. You are causing harm by seeding unnecessary doubt, and it's unpleasant for developers to keep hearing their unpaid work isn't good enough for you. If anything, see what you yourself can add to the development. Just throwing money at things is a lazy and unwholesome way of doing things.

thats my point. we need more volunteers, but I think we need to specify other areas, in addition to the Art and programming area, the strongest areas.

The social media is an example, we need youtuber not salaried or seek that dual intention.

Decent streamers, are popular among the youngest, sometimes certain small ads are given in these streams.

we have to be feeding the public with small novelties and announcing surprises to generate spectacle, not false spectacle as Microsoft sometimes does.

That is one of my points, which was linked to the announcement campaigns both release and activities.

also the official or semi-official mods, many people don't see them as linked to many of them, they even ignore the participation of the WFG developers. not that it's important, but some people always ask if they are safe.

  7. My point is that the Facebook page and other social networks and includes I think that the main page are always lacking in information comments can always read the same questions or there is always good feedback about the game is great that the cool juice that the game is the best and that I will not come to discuss, But if you always find the same questions, "When will you go out" "when to see the next monetization campaign".

What elexis said and asked the question that one always finds in the forums of who is a private project that is open source that does not seek to earn money with this and obviously that are noble causes

But once again what you see externally in the forums (because I know you have another forum inside where you are going to have a lot of things that must be very cloudy) never comes out of all that is discussed externally (forum) even though it is a small group of trees like the Lordgood has climbed on the Trac. They are never shared on the official website and this is a big waste.

I know you don't have anyone specialized in this area. and I think you should have or expose that other needs, apart from art programming (and I'm not sure what other areas have, I think you have historians but not a department (some disorganization).

The only thing that the public (your fans) know is that you have programming departments and that you have an art department, and what maybe you have music, so I myself am right now doing a good feedback on these comments, would be considered if you had a public relations department as "small" errors in a chain of communication that highlights how bad you are doing in this area, all this at least outside the forum. many times it is not transmitted completely to the outside, for example there is no development in terms of "what is being done in art". or what is needed as volunteers and what departments, have not asked if they need volunteers on social networks, it seems to me that it is not as if they do not need help more than in programming and art.
because it seems to me that the documents you handle also need some kind of curator, or some expert to fix what it is without updating within the Wiki.

Now if we go to youtubers in the questions are always quite rare questions always the same thing, "when this project is going to come out", "the project is still alive", "already died" "what happened because you do not finance?" "why is it not in Steam?" "you do not get it in Epic games Stotre?".... etc... and so on," "If at some point you are going to charge for this" (many ignore this kind of projects or their nature) there are a lot of questions like that for all your social networks.

Also I thought I read that you have a topic of Q&A but I didn't give it much importance and I already forgot where it is. (another small flaw).

my point is from that perspective outside the forum, seeing your trac seems that users do not know how to report or what to do under certain common circumstances. or how to install a mod properly. many questions far away from the answers which have been here, I imagine that this happens quite a lot on your reddit.

From an outsiders PoV, that is a pretty accurate analogy. However, outsiders can't be sure about the decisions part. Who knows what sort of things are being discussed internally.

imagine this matter from fans outside the forum, the official channels through social media do not share much news. is small the amount of information about the project, people who wonder if it is dead.

What WFG wants is cosmetics and other non pay2win features. every serious game does it and does great.

usually, in games cosmetics are things like:

    - exotic haircut

    - tattoos

    - face accessory, likeeye glassess

    - muscles,

    - character skin

    -character clothes

that may be hard to implement in 0A.D because characters are small af.

but its still possible, give your knights rich look and people will buy it

every game that goes for pay2win model dies with time (usually chinese MM0RPGS !!)

    Diablo Immortal?

Meroë, Temple M 250, the so-called Sun Temple

    Art by Sundiata (Malcolm Quartey)

The 1st century BC Meroitic period temple on the outskirts of the capital. It is still uncertain which god(s) it was dedicated to. Making use of the Kushite textures (by LordGood and Wowgetoffyourcellphone, if I'm not mistaken). I've suggested this structure as the Kushite wonder before, and thought I'd just give it a go myself. The model isn't finished yet (texturing). It's less than 10.000 tris (and I don't expect to add any more geometry), so I sincerely hope it can replace the current wonder (which looks great and can still be used in Atlas).

(Those acacia trees were just a free asset I found somewhere. Using an HDRI to light the scene for the first time.)

The problem is that WFG is a group of modders and programmers, not fundraisers and venture capitalists.

It's true that some lessons from last time could be learned. But before that's all rehashed analyzed and a fundraiser planned, you have to have a specific goal in mind for that potential future fundraiser. For what purpose are you raising the money? It seems to me that right now WFG has all the money it needs for its current goals. More than enough, actually. Something like $25,000+ currently in its vaults. It may be that WFG already has enough money for whatever "goal" or project you have in mind.
