  1. Windkissed

    Fondly will I recall those tender nights;

Whereupon long walks home cool winds danced

Upon my lips, wet from a kiss so ever slight.

With each step I felt still the gentle rocking of the chay

On which we’d lain so carelessly moments before,

And mocked the still and sacred night with effervescent sways.

    Under countless icy stars the idle night grows older;

I long for the feeling of your lovely face

And supple, starling locks splashed and splayed upon my shoulder.

Deep into the darkling sky, I look with penetrating gaze.

And suddenly stars and space transform into your eyes

A depth of vast eternal voids, an enigmatic maze.

Like gentle mist on starlit fields your body softly rose and fell

The echo of your silent breaths haunting me to home

As I walk singly through the night, remembering our farewell.

Returning those lovely nights I laughed aloud and swooned,

As the nightly cool of rushing wind lapped less and less across my lips,

Kissed by the sweet soliloquy of starlight winds o’er singing moon.

  2. I'd check out the facist architecture of Rome - I had written a massive post earlier giving you some insight and what not into this important politico-architectural movement, but firefox crashed in another window and I lost the post.

Italy's architecture of the 20s, 30s, and 40s is incredibly interesting to me because it exemplifies very clearly the sort of connections that architecture shares with politics, power, and psychology. I could write pages upon pages about my interest in this, but I will spare you because I am both busy and tired.

Perhaps I will feel up to the task soon once more :/

  3. This is Zahira. We're both architecture students at Cornell University. She's from Puerto Rico.

This is her on the cannons of El Morro, the old spanish fortress in San Juan

She's the number #2 most-crazed person, behind me, of course.

And the best spanish teacher ever.

and, for a sappy remark that some of you may identify with,

I will just say that before I met Zahira, I had no idea of the depths of my emotions, though I have always been an intense person.

  4. i love history games, but fantasy rts i can buy in any store and play.

Yeah, they don't develop historical games, it's a shame... :P

the 0ad community and not the other one.

Here at WFG, we call "the other one" "The Last Alliance". But now there is no other one, so what does it matter?! :)

  5. :flexes 20 days, 10 hours, 30 minutes 33 GB of music:

in terms of electronica though maybe I have about only 28 GB.

I've got a lot of livesets and mixsets though. I don't know I have the stats on my individual tracks on hand.

Finally a trancer with integrity smile.gif I'm wondering to what length does your love for this lifestyle extend?

heh, read this: (screenname at TA is nefardec) you'll have to scroll down a few posts:

Nice - I love goa but I don't have a lot of it/can't find much - where do you get so much from?

Trance - Oakenfold, Digweed, Sasha and the classics. If a tune is longer than 5 minutes and isn't @#$%ty and clubby, I'll love it. I hate how trance is getting so commercialized.

Ditto. I listen to a lot of old school trance, a lot of Cygnus X, Push, etc

There is a lot of commercial garbage trance right now definitely, and it sucks. Just look at any of Ultra Records' Trance comps and you'll see Dragostea din tei up there with a great track like Loco Love by Jas van Houten - the cheese ruins everything.

we can just say that most of the trance I listen to is 6 minutes and over, and if it's not and I like it, I'll extend it :)

I've been getting into drum and bass recently - my friend is really into it. At ultra last saturday I got to party to the sounds of Roni Size, Craze, and Dieselboy - missed Goldie unfortunately.

    are you on any hubs?

  6. I just have to say I love this chapter - the meeting with Gildor Inglorion is one of my favorite parts. Mainly because the first time I read it I had no conception of the history of the Noldor, and when I read it now, I have a much more complete conception of their history. So it means so much more to me now that I can understand the Noldor so much better. Also it reminds me each time about how much I have learned.
