On the battlefield, the Seleucid cavalry arm was often the most successful in the army, often driving off the enemy cavalry in order to turn and make devastating flanking and rear charges into the enemy center.

It occurs to me that it could be a unit that as it loses health increases the trample attack but only in melee mode.
Something like a state of madness and chaos.
But as it attacks it loses health fast.
I wouldn't want it to be like the iberian fireship.
Problem is it needs more code.

Chariots were considered elite.
Yet, nearly always defeated on the battlefield in this era.

Yeah, Scythed Chariots could be a melee suicide unit, basically. Brit and Maur chariots are basically missile platforms. We can figure something else out for those, like that old Briton video I posted a while back.

@ChronA I agree it's difficult to create a role for chariots with the current game mechanics. So without having to add a bunch of features, I'd say turn them into some kind of melee glass cannon. Kind of like Petards in AOE2, but only against units, not buildings.

Just code it so I can have non randos in the better mod.

I think it's because Athen has a custom town/city phase.
This is true, but also there can be civ specific names for techs.

Didn't we already have a topic with lists of names?

Seems very easy to come up with more names greater than 8.

don't think the "Make buildings shoot at random unless targeted" solution will work very well, but I can certainly do it if thats what ppl want.
Now you understand the anguish of design by vote. :*

Can units be garrison on theater?
The game changes so much that I don't know it 100%.
Should have a 6000 garrison limit

It's one of the reasons why I don't like ranged units firing so fast by default or being so accurate by default. We have no room for techs to increase firing rate or accuracy if they're already machine guns.

The only problem I see with that is infantry Romans firing 2 pilums each one And after that it will take a while to replace the pilums.
Yeah, the feature would need some code and other logic. Like, there needs to be a min and max distance where they'll throw their pila, etc. But it would largely be automatic unless the player wants to use the APM to micro them a bit.

For Romans, their swordsmen should throw a pilum before closing into melee combat range.

I'd bake some subtle shadows into the texture at least, give the illusion of a little more detail. Also remember that the stele we see today are very weathered. In their prime, their details woukd be easier to see.
I wonder if there is evidence of paint.
