  1. I love this Keep working on it. Would be great if Wilfiregames kept a global database of all games of all times. And that this could be a new start for a global rating system for 0ad. It will really need some disqussion and testing to find something that all will find quite fair. There are so many factors to take into concideration. I love that I can see how many games I played with each player. This should be standard in game. Another thing is that maybe there should be some weighting between TGs and 1v1s. Much the same but still very different. Some play mostly 1v1 some play mostly TGs. Bonus points for winning by points or conquest. Would be great to have one score for war skills and one rating for eco skills in the game in addition to total rating. Then one can sort by the three categories. Another interesting question is what more relevant statistics can be found in the replay files? I guess there is a plethora of different things in addition to what is seen in the summary.   2. In the interest of transparency, the Wildfire Games team would like to report on its finances as of 2020-01-01. In 2019, 0 A.D. had funds in two places: A legacy account on Flattr, a Sweden-based microdonation provider. Funds earmarked for the project and held in trust by US-based non-profit organization Software in the Public Interest, Inc. (hereafter “SPI”); Flattr Legacy Account In the beginning of 2019, we had 865.28 EUR as well as approximately 2 USD in our Flattr account. At our request, SPI helped us withdraw the portion of funds that were in EUR in 2019-02. This portion of the Flattr funds is now part of the SPI earmark for 0 A.D. (see below). Only the latter portion, that was in USD, remained on Flattr. Since sums under 10 USD cannot be withdrawn from Flattr, and the balance is not likely to reach that threshold anytime soon, the Treasury Committee decided to delete the account and let Flattr take the remaining funds. This completes the consolidation of 0 A.D.'s assets and prevents problems down the road. The Flattr legacy account is now closed. SPI Earmark for 0 A.D. As of 2020-01-01, the 0 A.D. earmark is USD 34,970.84 USD (Source: SPI Treasurer’s Report). This grand total includes the Flattr funds, which made up about a quarter of the income for 2019 (926.61 USD out of 4384.99 USD). Taken together, this represents a small increase in 0 A.D.'s assets from previous years, and shows that the project's finances have been stable over time. Concluding Remarks The 0 A.D. project finances are managed by the Treasury Committee: Erik (“feneur”) and Aviv (“Jeru”). We need you! We invite members of the 0 A.D. community to volunteer on the committee and help us put the funds to good use. We also welcome your questions, comments and suggestions.

  4. I sure will, I already have giving credit in mind, and I definitely know how to incorporate that already, I have an idea already for where to put the credits in my game. @Lion.KanzenSome animal survival game based in Africa that I am working on.

I know it has been a while since I asked on this, but is it possible I could use the 0.a.d licensed assets/cc by sa stuff combined with my other unity assets I have in unity, just hoping I can use them in the same project as my other stuff in my project? I bought the other assets from the unity asset store, they are like scripting assets for like ai, environments, etc. Apparently I was reading this over on the single entity license for unity for editor extensions/coding assets that add functionality to my game, it says: As long as the asset is embedded and integrated into your game (or other digital product) and you have obtained the appropriate number of licenses, commercial use and noncommercial use are both fine.

  9. Alright, time to bring out the salt. Absurd statement. All of those complaints are possibly contradictory. If anything the fact that there is always one unit that's OP, but it's not the same unit, proves that we do do balance changes. Formations & naval combat aren't a feature of competitor RTS games either, so why pretend it should be here. 'Expected polish'? Did you somehow pay for 0 A.D.? Look, this can be rephrased pretty easily as 'People come to the forums, dunk on the team with their brilliant ideas that are definitely gonna fix everything, then whine months later when their miraculous solution™ hasn't been adopted when in reality they have done 0 effective work for the project'. We don't need you. No one cares about you. You're just some random human complaining on the internet right now. Your contributions to the project are nil. You don't have a phabricator account, you've never posted on Trac, you've never actually contributed anything beyond forum posts, which have obviously not succeeded at doing anything or you wouldn't be complaining right now. You've been here for 4 years. If nothing has changed, perhaps you should look inwards: your current efforts are insufficient to help move forward 0 A.D., and playing a self-aggrandising card to the dev team achieves nothing (though you did get a good rant out of me, I do love these). Your first post in the forums was "What can I do to help?". My answer is simple. Start actually helping, or GTFO. Wish I could enshrine that sentence.
