  1. Following @Itms lack of time recently, I have taken up the mantle of the spidermonkey migration. For SM52, most of what he had done is directly usable and I plan to commit the upgrade in the upcoming days. I will be uploading patches to Phabricator, but for those using git, you can access the whole thing here: https://github.com/wraitii/0ad/tree/sm52-clean My plan is to try and move rather quickly up the ladder, since we need SM78 for Python3 support (which we need to not be dropped by linux distros), and that will take 3 more rounds of upgrading.

  4. The Lobby really needs a choice password protected rooms. Best can do at the moment is write "private room" in the title at the moment and hope someone doesn't join but half the time people aren't reading the room title for some reason and just come in anyway.

  5. Not sure if you are looking for more suggestions for your mod, but something i always wish that the game would have is an overview of the units or tecs that are being produced/ researched at the moment, so you dont have to check your control groups or every few seconds to see if they are idle. Something like this: (upper right corner) I was always wondering if am the only one for whom this might be helpful. But anyways, really great mod. It does enhance the gameplay quite a bit.

  6. A first try converting the famous map "Sahyadri_Buttes" to a random script ... It's difficult to position the CC's on an plane point without flatten the area per painter or heightplacer ... Btw: the problem with the "red" water is still alive ...

  7. Doubtful. I don't think any classical Greek (i.e. athen, mace, spart) cavalry had shields. (Greek pottery tends to depict mounted hoplites, who fought on foot.) The situation is different for non-Greek cavalry (Paeonians serving under Philip and Alexander where known to have shields). During Hellenistic times (i.e. ptol, rome, sele) some Greek cavalry types adopted (large) shields (aspis or thureos, not peltē). Horse armour appeared as well, though probably the exception rather than the rule (hence reserve for ptol and sele champions). As for classical Greek horseman equipment, the most important source is probably Xenophon, On Horsemanship 8: http://perseus.uchicago.edu/perseus-cgi/citequery3.pl?dbname=GreekTexts&query=Xen.%20Eq.%2012&getid=1 Here are also four relevant pages from The Cambridge History of Greek and Roman Warfare (Cambridge 2008): And an ancient fresco of a charging hetairos (Macedonian companion cavalry): How about the following? basic: tunic, hat advanced: simple helmet, long sleeves, perhaps some body armour elite: helmet, boots, body armour, pteruges, perhaps left arm protected by a cheir (arm-guard, Latin manica)
