  1. Following @Itms lack of time recently, I have taken up the mantle of the spidermonkey migration. For SM52, most of what he had done is directly usable and I plan to commit the upgrade in the upcoming days. I will be uploading patches to Phabricator, but for those using git, you can access the whole thing here: https://github.com/wraitii/0ad/tree/sm52-clean My plan is to try and move rather quickly up the ladder, since we need SM78 for Python3 support (which we need to not be dropped by linux distros), and that will take 3 more rounds of upgrading.

  2. A first try converting the famous map "Sahyadri_Buttes" to a random script ... It's difficult to position the CC's on an plane point without flatten the area per painter or heightplacer ... Btw: the problem with the "red" water is still alive ...

  3. For playability, you have to compromise realism on the map. But you can hide those compromises if you're a good mapper.

  6. I have some problems with textures, I still haven't been learning about it because I have a lot of blender to discover, the one I currently use is a zapo struct with some additions.

  9. A besieged Spartan enclave trying to protect the Walrus, Muskox and chicken from extinction. Leonidas is very uncomfortable with his unbalanced Phalanx formation. His left flank which is very vulnerable to the well supplied Persian forces can only muster 9 rows. While his right flank having 10 rows are only sporadically attacked by minimal Carthage forces. His generals could hardly solve this imbalance, adding more Spartiates will just increase the depth and Leonidas still remains in the 11th row. Some of his generals are recommending to have 21 rows so that it could become balance and Leonidas can become comfortable.

  12. Not really a fan of the Roman Republic = Red, part of the mini realism actor files mod that I'm currently working with. No new texture files, I just tweaked the actor file texture materials. Dyed and undyed tunics, plus, painted and plain leather covered scutum (Sacrificing player_color, playing Republican Romans vs. Republican Romans would be a total mess ) Note: My Mordor faction mod won't be out for quite some time, I'm sorry, I haven't worked on any contents for the Mordor faction mod (Planned release date was last December but I wasn't able to allocate time to work on it.

  14. Sidon, Mother City of Phoenicia (anyone know how to modify the map so that there's not a black ring around the edge? I want to make screenshots looking out at sea, but it doesn't look natural with the solid black streak along the horizon.)

  17. I made Temple Vesta buildable and gacve it an aura that makes building around it stronger. Also made many civs have a shipyard (no model yet).

  18. Smooth LoS looks amazing in my PC, also gpuskinning is required to show normal maps on animated actors like elephants etc. I hadn't any problem since I activated those tbh

  19. Rebuilt on an island after the sack by Nebuchadnezzar's army, Tyre flourished as the prime Phoenician city-state, ruling the waves, and setting up colonies as far as North Africa. Alexander's armies laid siege in 332 BCE by connecting the island to the mainland via an earthen causeway so that his army and siege towers could reach the rich treasuries within the palaces and temple complexes throughout the city.

  20. Oppidum Avalon is a large Iron Age Brythonic fortification. Situated on a hill in the middle of a vast swamp, the Romans would surely be 'bogged' down if they dare lay siege...
