  1. Please make sure that you apply all the steps correctly. 1-Download "AutoCiv" mod from the first post of this link: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/topic/24649-autociv-mod-less-clicks-more-civs/ 2-Unzip it. / I'm using this app: https://theunarchiver.com/ 3-Change the name of the folder as "autociv". / it's very important. 4-Go to the mods folder. ~/Library/Application Support/0ad/mods Here you have two options to find mods folder: Option1: -Open Finder. -Click on "Go" / "Go to Folder..." on the top left of the screen and press enter. -Copy this path: ~/Library/Application Support/0ad/mods A window should pop up if it doesn't, try the second option: Option2: -Open Finder. -Click on "Applications" on the left bar. -Right click on "0 A.D." Folder / Show Package Contents. -Click on "Contents" / "Resources" / "data" /"mods" Let's move on 5-Move "autociv" folder into "mods" folder. / There is another folder called "mod" so be careful it should be "mods" folder. 6-Launch the game. 7-Click on "Settings" and then "Mod Selection". 8-You need to see "autociv mod" under Available Mods. (If you cannot see it that means you did something wrong when you try to move the folder. Go back to stage 4). Click on "autociv" and press "Enable" on the left bottom corner. 9-If you have "fgod" mod make sure that "autociv" mod comes after it. /this is also very important otherwise you gonna have error messages. 10-Click on "Save Configuration" and then "Start Mods". Done!

  4. Thanks for all suggestion i took note of everything said. I Check in Settlers 6 and i got some reference. I think we can start developing the all products that will be consumed together with the basic resources by our citizens. Here the table i created: 4 Basic resources: food wood stone metal with the food divided in 7 subcategories : milk herbs oil meat grain fruit wool ( is not food but we insert here for simplicity) Form these resources each Producer would be able to process them and create one of the following 20 products depending of its speciality: Food bread cheese sausage soup beer cake Cleaning soap broom parfume Clothes woolen clothes leather clothes shoes Decorations banners indoor Decorations outdoor Decorations jewellery Military swords shield bows machine engine Here you can see what each product require to be processed: In addition to the products there are also three services: Entertainment (artist, circus) Transportation(city delivery, intercity trade, interciv trade) Building (builders, the onlyone allowed to build) Unless products, services cannot be stoked by the consumer, but has to be pay in the moment

  5. What is AutoCiv This mod is an aggregation of features meant to enhance the 0 A.D. game experience. I usually implement these extra features as they come up with no general plan in mind. Download (how to install section below) autociv.pyromod autociv.zip Feature list General Readme: press Shift + F4 to open Player mute Player reminder (show a written note when a certain player joins) *** Link opener (opens URL links from the chat) Help command: type /help to see all available commands Console with autocomplete (Ctrl + C + L) Lobby Resize bars Host name mark Remember playerlist state Better performance when reloading lobby Shortcuts to create host, navigate gamelist Game setup Auto-assign civilization with chat (only works if host has the mod) Custom population limit Custom starting resources Custom map size Countdown to start the game Maps Skirmish Volcano island (8) In Game Hotkeys for (see hotkeys with hotkey viewer) Buildings placement Multiple buildings per hotkey (optional, user.cfg) How to use: Copy the hotkey you want and remove the "hotkey." prefix, next replace the hotkey key for the buildings you want to cycle and separate them by a space. 9. Hi, thank you for your great work so far! I used to play 0 A.D. with an old PC (I7 950, 6GB DDR3 GTX970 Win7) very well, except for some slowdowns in very big games. Since i changed to my new PC i cant finish a game because it crashs. New PC: I7 9700k 16GB DDR4 RTX 2080 Crucial MX500 1TB Win10 Resolution: 1440x2560, 144FPS, GSync Compatible ON Grafiktreiber: 419.35 See the "0AD.txt" for the complete text of the error window. Because it says "not enough Memory" i made a Screenshot of the Memory used at the time the crash occured. As you can see there is plenty of Memory left. The Games are not that big, i hardly get over 300 Supply (i hope supply is the right word for "Bevölkerungslimit", i only know the german version of the game) in a game with only me and 3 KI on a Giant map. The old PC used to be fine - besides of some performace isues - with me, 7 KI even with 1800 used Supply (from my units alone). All together i´m pretty sure that it is not caused by too big games. If i hit the "continue" button in the error window i can continue to play for a few minutes before the game finally crashes, this time without any error windows. If i save the game after the first error and load it new (restarting 0 A.D.) it runs just like i started a new game (this means 10 - 30 Minutes time before the error window shows up). To me it seems as if the Savegame was healthy, but i decided to upload it anyway, maybe you can see more then i. i also found some graphical issues, but those were easy to fix, i just need to torn off Fog in the graphics menu. Once it was turned of, i can turn it on and everything is fine. I can also fix that by turning OpenGL2.0 shaders of. While this helped me perfectly with the graphical issue it had no effect on the crashes. I know some errors are not fixed over night and you have also other stuff on your todo-list, so take your time. Just tell me if, and wich aditional information you need. 0AD.txt savegame-0003.0adsave

  10. Here's a quick thought. Introduce rams to the town phase in some way. Since walls are present, it could, if the map has a large amount of choke-points, create a deadlock that cannot be broken until the City Phase. Maybe this is okay, but I think that even having a weak ram unit would do a lot to make the town phase more interesting. On another note, is there any plan to make walls more affordable?

  11. I suggested Remogantion (but can be Remocantion as well). Gantion or Cantion is a name for the assembly, we find it in Trigance (from Trigantia / Tricantia, three assemblies) or in Kent (from Cantium). In Old Irish it is Céite. Remos is a word meaning "prince" or "first one", it is similar to the latin Princeps which comes from Primus. Edit: if you want something simpler for the Atlas, you can call it Cantion or Gantion, simply meaning the assembly.

  12. Dude... There are no peasants in the game. Those citizen soldiers usually represent the upper sections of society and formed the backbone of many ancient armies. They're not peasants. Many of them owned peasants. I for one would LOVE to have generic peasants for each civ, but it's not a thing right now.

  14. The textures are all taken from photos that I took, and other textures are from the 0AD files. I've sign the waiver, but if further proof is required that these are pictures I took please let me know.

  16. There's a couple of pretty memorable quotes in there, like: "Tadaaa, there it is, now you can go home" "I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but if you wing it hard enough, you can do anything" "This is truly an awful program" "Yo, this is where we get whack!" "Is that detailed enough for ya Stan?" "I've got to piss like a Russian race horse" "If you wanted a tutorial, you should have asked for a tutorial. Please don't ask for a tutorial..." That last one killed me, because I did actually ask for a tutorial, and you definitely delivered a tutorial... Of sorts... Thanks man! Anyway, I'm trying... Not quite succeeding, but trying nonetheless... Acacia attempt 3... In Dutch, we would say: "Schoon van ver, maar verre van schoon", which roughly translates into "pretty from afar, but far from pretty"... I have two main problems I see, which is that the geometry of the branches sucks from up close. They're just bent plains (2 bends). And the tris count is getting too high 700 tris, and none of the faces have been doubled with flipped normals to counteract the backface culling, which would increase the tris count to 1200... By the way, why can't backface culling be disabled for trees? Because doubling the branches/leaves to counteract it, essentially doubles the geometry for trees, doesn't it? Is rendering two faces of a single polygon really more "expensive" than rendering 2 separate one sided polygons? Anyway, close up of the ugly: One thing I did like about my attempt, is the detail in the acacia specific texture (512x512). Which is why I decided to post anyway: I'll probably get back to my flora modeling attempts at some time in the future, but for now, if anyone more skilled than me feels compelled to give the acacia a go, here's the CC0 texture I made using wikimedia CC0 images. It was pretty tedious to manually separate the leaves, but with a few adjustments, it would look pretty good, I think... And here's a previous version: Used for this attampt:

  17. Like Tropico. Ive been playing DoM since the release and it’s really awesome. Though there’s not much military involved yet but I think once you level up playing and have achievements it wil be very tough. What was in YouTube earlier were just the lowest level and if you are ready to play the harder ones ahead with probably tribal wars it’s going to be really tough. The economic aspect is really great. Plenty of resources, trees are regrown, fish too. Resources like wild plants, fruits, nuts etc are seasonal harvested as well as farm products. Taming young animals, hunting too are really natural. Minerals might not replenish but aplenty. There’s so many realistic mechanics though structures are really not good looking, anyhow you can’t expect much from very early peoples of this world. I hope 0ad or mod can be like this one day.
